Do we need to make reservations for dinner? If so, how far in advance should we make these? Before we leave?

Thanks

I don't think you can make them before you get there and generally, you don't need to. I can't speak for any place other than the Pearl and Aphrodite restaurants but I don't think you'd ever need one for Aphrodite and for Pearl, we've usually gotten right in or only had to wait 10 - 15 minutes.

I think there is a Sushi restaurant that might be a bit more popular where things might be different - don't know about that one.

The sushi bar requires reservations and seems to book up well in advance. We tried to make reservations the day we arrived last time and it was booked through our 5 day stay. We never had an issue at the other restaurants. Aphrodite in particular is easy to get into - we showed up with groups of 8-10 and they seated us immediately without reservations.

Beware of the wine selection set up at the front of Aphrodite, those wines are an extra charge. We arrived early for dinner one night and I decided to order a selection of Mexican wines for the table (yes, there are many Mexican wines, I had no idea). To my surprise, I got a bill for about $600 at the end of the meal. We were having too much fun to care, but it was a good lesson learned, especially for a guy who prefers beer out of a can.

We usually make reservations the day we arrive during check in. In August while we were there we actually gave away our 2nd reservation at the suki terrace to another couple who was unable to get reservations. We were having too much fun at the jacuzzi!
