Much needed, we were there two weeks ago and a couple guests were collecting tiles in the plastic drink cups. Black and white were the rare, prized tiles.....LOL.

With the jacuzzi renovation in December (20-25) they are going to use this 'heated' end for the nocturnal activities.

Now that the tile is being replaced, what a perfect time to install handrails to make entry/exit much safer.

The 20th will be our last night. I hope they crank up the heat for the evening. PS. I'm disappointed about the consolation prize for the inconvenience, a pass to RM. I'm still stuck with transportation costs. I feel for the cpls that are there for more nights without the hot tub.

Could not agree more. Maybe this should be posted in the "Ask the desire rep section", but it may not be read or replied to until 12/26.

On one hand great suggestion, great idea, on the other hand what will we do now instead of watching rookies enter to hot tub......Have never seen anyone get injured, I'm sure it happens, but damn the money someone could make on "Americas funniest home videos"......

That's us... we're there 20-24 and were just told about this situation. We are very upset; and you're right a pass to RM and using the pool is not a substitute at all. Two of the big reasons we spend a huge amount of money to go to Pearl is the jacuzzi experience and NOT having to leave the resort for any experience.

I sent an email explaining my feelings and requesting that more be done to compensate affected guests, since the resort is not able to provide the full amount we are paying for. I didn't hear back today. I wonder if I'll ever hear back. That would be unfortunate, would sour our trip, and would ensure we wouldn't return...which would probably suck worse for us than the company.

I'm really hoping management recognizes this is a bigger issue than they thought and steps up their solutions. Maybe Cokeman can get some action out of them...????...

From recent trip reports the problem with the tiles breaking/coming off had gotten to a critical level, there is never a good time to schedule maintenance issues like this.

IMHO they probably chose to do it ASAP before someone got seriously hurt/cut in the jacuzzi because of broken sharp edge tiles - no real option ..........

We are there 21-25 is the pool heated warm enough to "simulate the hot tub" Is there a bar at that end? Will the beds be moved? It may not be the best but it has to beat the weather in Wisconsin. Is the day pass available during your entire stay or is it one day only? Thanks
