Beach Beds or Chairs???

our first time was at Pearl and we never did the beach. The next time was RM and we fell in love with the beach beds. Going back to Pearl this weekend, and were needing advice regarding the beach. The Mrs. Is fair skinned so can't do a ton of sun. We loved the RM beach beds, but Pearl's seem too far back and behind too many chairs. If you're a beach person, do you do chairs and just move them to stay in shade, or do you do the beds? Any insight and advice is appreciated.

We are the people that go on a tropical vacation and spend the entire time in the shade. Last trip we just tipped Irving nicely each day and our umbrella magically followed the sun. Best money we spent.

Ahh...good tip (no pun intended...or was it?). How much was your daily tip if you don't mind me asking. I don't want to be the cheap guy that insults him... Or be the idiot that's throwing money at people like I have it :D

Beach beds and the cabanas at Desire RM ... the best ... on the beach, waterside ... PRICELESS ... and the ability to meet your neighbors to in some very "stimulating" situations.

We tipped $5 every morning and got exactly what we wanted. We like a covered bed at the quiet end of the pool.

We like the chairs on the beach because you can move them in and out of the sun as it moves during the day.

Not sure daily tipping is necessary to get the location you desire ... at least not in our experience. Might depend on how full the resort is, but we seem to get the same location we choose the first day throughout our stay.

Agree with bb25. Tipping is not expected or needed as the service is great anyway. We always tip at the end of our stay as a thank you for the wonderful service.
