We have booked our first trip. Needless to say we are very excited. We have had several c/o experiences in St Martin but have decided on DP for the sexy environment. We have booked on Ocean View room and we would prefer to be off the ground floor. Can we request a certain room prior to arrival? if so what is the best way to do that? Secondly, we are looking for people's preferences for a room location, near the pool/jacuzzi etc.

Hi kand sny !! We have always contacted the resort 2 weeks prior to our arrival, and request rm 41. It is 2nd level, about mid way between everything. There is no noise from the Jacuzzi. It seems like they are always able to get it for us. If you go that route, they offer no guarantee, but will try to make it happen. Good luck !!!

All of the rooms are ocean or pool view. We did have a room on the ground floor last year. It was right next to the pool. It was nice to just walk in the room or take a nap on the futon. They are all very nice.

We have been to Pearl 3 times, haven't requested any specific room and have never been disappointed. This past visit we were on the ground floor at the 'far' end of the building, ground floor, right close to the dive shop and could walk directly to the dock and we really liked that room ( when we first saw the room I was a little disappointed but that lasted for about 10 minutes). We have had a room overlooking the jacuzzi and one somewhere in the middle. I don't think there is a bad or inconvenient room in the place. We're just so happy to be there!

Hey, kandsny! Cant wait to be there again and say HELLO.. It'll be our third Desire trip (2nd to Pearl). We always give some thought to where we want to be in the resort, look at the resort map and shoot and request 1 of 2-3 rooms with our early check in. And we know its cliche, but you cant go wrong with any room at Pearl. The layout of the resort is just perfect.

Thanks for the replies. I am sure we will be happy no matter what room we land in.

This will be our first trip to Pearl. Reserved a Passion Suite. Had a ski accident and am stuck with a very bad knee. Apparently the penthouse rooms are on the 4th floor. Is there an elevator? Otherwise climbing those stairs is going to hurt a lot. If no elevator I'd love suggestions for an alternate room, we are going end February so I have time to make a change to our reservation.
Thanks in advance!

Sorry, no elevators to the penthouse. Our friends had one in November so many trips were made. I could see it being quite difficult with a bum knee.

I would request the Penthouse in one of the two 3 story buildings because the first floor goes down a flight so you only have to climb two flights. Believe that would be rooms 1 and 43 both buildings are in Great locations.

Many thanks! Two flights is probably OK with some help from Advil
