Has anyone ever played around in the Sauna? From what i've read, even though there are 2 separate ones (per gender), they seem to be pretty open for use by both... Curious to know - it would seem like a thrill, but want to know if the sauna is usually pretty busy too...

Which side is best? Guys or ladies sauna?

Any time of day better than others?

I guess I never even noticed there were saunas on both sides.

Each morning after breakfast, on the men's side, we would bounce between the sauna, that really deep cool water pool, the crazy shower with all the heads (we called it the vertical car wash), and then repeat it. It helped to sweat out some of the toxins from drinking the night before. At least it felt like it!

And we never encountered anyone else in there.

We got a little handsy in the sauna, but nothing crazy. I actually seemed to remember reading somewhere that sort of thing wasn't welcome in the spa area. But who knows.

We have had great fun in the sauna several times (on towels of course). It gets hot after a while, so if something is going to happen you don't want to wait too long.

We have always been directed by the front desk staff to use the men's side of the spa. And usually we are the only ones in there using the facilities. Sure is a nice way to end the day at the beach.

Years ago, in the original SPA of Desire Riviera Maya (before the fire that destroyed it), we went to the steam room; they sent us to the men's side. We were by ourselves, so after some time started to play. Two couples entered just when we were having some action against a wall. Not being into the lifestyle, it was a very exciting moment for me. Even we didn't stop suddenly, we gradually faded out the activities and came back to our bench.
