Hey Pearl people, if u have been in last couple of months is the seaweed rollin in like it was all last summer? hoping our mid July trip allows us more beach play than last yr as we couldn't get within 20 ft of the water without the seaweed covering ya.

We were there the 1st week of May. It was considerably better. The crew cleaned it up each morn. The beach stayed pretty clean throughout the day.

Just got home yesterday and we thought it was excessive ourselves. But as usual, the crews were busy working on it all day long.

We were there from May 20-24th and it was WAYYYY better than last year. There was still a bit, but it was nothing like the year before.

This year we were able to get in the ocean and swim and stuff and not really come in contact with any. Last year that would have been impossible.

And though we didn't take the walk to town, there was way more pristine white beach looking down that way than ever before. Not piles and piles of rotting seaweed like last year.

To some that maybe didn't experience how bad it was, I could see how it would be an annoyance now... But it's quite liveable, comperably.

Great to hear that is seems to be improving.
