With the forecast being rain with chance of more rain followed by rain during our visit, we are seeking anyone's suggestions to make the most of a less than desirable (pun in tended) weather situation.

Since we will be spending more time in our penthouse than originally anticipated, we're looking to shift our packing plans to fit the Sybian in our checked bag. Any other ideas? Does Pearl offer any exciting indoor alternatives for fun? Do people just get together for parties in their rooms? Thanks.

It rained quite hard when we went in January but those turned out to be the days that we really made friends. Another couple we had been talking to mentioned that they had brought Cards Against Humanity with them. We sequestered a covered bed by the lobby and played the game for hours with various other couples joining in. We still speak to the couple with the game every day on FB messenger and have met up with them since in Vegas.

I haven't seen the actual forecast but I know there is some hurricane season-related weather activity in the Caribbean. If this is what you are seeing then yeah, you might need to take extra measures.

However, as a general rule, the forecast almost always has rain in it. It's just the nature of the tropics. It's *usually* less of an issue than it may seem because 1) the showers are usually brief and 2) they are usually isolated. In these situations, the chances of the rain actually falling on the Desire property lowers the risk and if it does fall there, it tends not to last very long.

Obviously, if you get hit with a storm, you get wet but lots of people get worried because they check the local weather forecast and it says x chance of rain everyday. In reality, it's not a real big deal - usually...

Okay, just looked at the forecast - forget everything I said. I guess Cards Against Humanity it is!

We are arriving 8/7 and are planning on bringing Cards against humanity rain or shine.

I just ordered Cards Against Humanity based on seeing this and then reading about the game. Looks like a hoot! Thanks for the suggestion.

Played once and the vulgarity of the game made my wife question my morales and reverence to an almighty God. My parents were playing with us and in less than two hands announced my part in the will would be changed immediately the next business day and left our house for their home, a seven hour drive away, at 10:00pm. My wife hasn't called in several days now, but the box works well for holding up wine bottles with which to pretend to be my friends.

We arrive on Friday and the 80% chance of thunderstorms excites us with thoughts of what creative fun we may find during this trip ;-)
