IF, big if I am able to get there with my wife - who has concerns... what to expect. Will it be frowned upon if all we do is lay around the pool/beach in partial nudity and "observe"? I don't want to not participate. I do want to let wife lead and make sure she is comfortable. We are newbies and not "swingers". We do want to feel the excitement of being at Pearl and all the sexuality in the air. If all we do is lay low and "check it out" - will be be outcasts? Thoughts please. Thanks

You'll be fine. That's the bottom line.

We are not in the lifestyle and have never been pressured and our first trip we planned to lay low too (although nekkid). That lasted till we got to the jacuzzi and then just kind of melted into the place.

But never any pressure to do anything you don't want to do

Hey Mike.......Just noticed we arrive on the same day as you. Like you we're just a couple that likes to "Party Nekkid"......maybe we'll run into you.

Augustus don't worry about being outcasts. What you plan to do is perfectly OK. As you read through the forum you will find that a lot of people start out in a similar way.

I'll just go ahead and add to the "You will be fine" response.

Rest assured, nobody is keeping track of what you do or don't do. It's not like *everyone* is all doing the same thing or even in the same place such that you would stand out for *not* being there or doing that.

People are doing all kinds of things - walking the beach, playing volleyball, tanning, swimming, chatting at the bar, sleeping, whatever. If you are chilling on some pool loungers just taking it all in, nobody will even notice.

The "veterans" don't huddle together and discreetly point at the newbie couples and gossip about why they aren't engaging.

You will be fine.

Mike... tell your wife (and yourself) that you as a couple will be just fine. There is no pressure, no judgement, no scorn.

We went in April with the same "first time to a C/O resort" apprehensions as you. "We are going to keep our clothes on, keep to ourselves, and if things are too too much, we will just leave. There is no chain around our ankles keeping us there!"

Uhmmm...Day 2 we are nekkid in the hot tub meeting new friends that like us, are not swingers, but certainly enjoying the sexy environment. From then on we never felt self-conscious about what we had on or not, where we were, or what we were doing in plane view of others. And after eight days we were not ready to leave.

We can't wait to go back and will do so two/year from here on out.

Our first time, I went to the pool in my 2-piece bathingsuit with a handy coverup. Within a few minutes, off came the coverup and then the bathingsuit top and not long after, the bottoms. I often put on my thong to walk around and sometimes, not. It really doesn't matter. I have met a few couples where one wasn't into going nude and that was just fine too. Have your spouse take their time and do what comes naturally to them. Everyone is chill and no one judges, which is what I love about going to Desire! The atmosphere makes people eventually get to their happy/comfort place.
