Went to RM Jan 2016. Loved it but the basic room left a bit to be desired...lol. Loved the atmosphere. Went during swimgers month for a reason.
How is pearl different?

The Pearl hottub is enormous! You can't believe how big it is unless you see it with your own eyes. Plus, it's on the ground level, no need to navigate treacherous steps at night. With that being said, the resort holds fewer people than RM due to less room capacity.

Another vote for Pearl. We think rooms nicer jacuzzi nicer. Easier to navigate
We're at Pearl for Jan 2016 ISM. Good fun crowd but we were low key. A vacation to either DP or DRM are what you want them to be Crowds similiar in age etc. I am sure yes DRM jacuzzi smaller so a lot more interactive vibe :-)

We love both but give the edge to PEARL... Nicer rooms, nicer/larger hot tub, and we think the entertainment staff is better. All in all, your fun level will depend upon who is there when you go - but for pure physical, objective reasons we prefer Pearl.

We prefer the Pearl also. Hot tub time is always fun, we found the hot tub at RM to be too small and dirty. The hot tub at the Pearl is much nicer, larger and cleaner. Rooms are nicer too. So, one more vote for the Pearl.

We love DRM. We love Pearl. If they had a super surprise sale and we didn't know where they were going to send us for a week or two, we wouldn't care. We have fun and enjoy both of them.
