It is not. Also Cialis is not cheaper in Mexico as far as i could find. Viagra is though. You can buy Viagra at the resort store but its pricey. Your butler 'anything' you want from town though. Tip him well.

In the airport I noticed that they had generic versions of Viagra and Levitra for generic type of prices. There was no generic Cialis, only the real thing, and I've heard this is the case throughout Mexico (but have not verified). I didn't buy any but if I remember correctly the price was about half of what it is in the U.S. I get generic version of Cialis (Tadacip, made by Cipla) through a Canadian pharmacy recommended by my doctor - they only sell with a valid prescription. The price is way better and it works exactly the same from my experience. For example the $70 order I placed last time would've been over $1000 at the local pharmacy.

I've heard reports that once the Cialis patent expires in 2017 they are looking to make it "over the counter" which obviously would change the landscape dramatically.

If you're there until mid-December, stop by our room at DRM-- some contend that is within walking distance.

Not sure if this is still the case, but the gift shop at Pearl was selling it during one of our previous trips (within the last two years). It was a bit on the pricey side, but hubby definitely bought some there during our stay. Can't speak for the RM gift shop but I'd imagine if one gift shop was selling it, the other probably is too.

Otherwise, the pharmacy inside the big Mega in Playa del Carmen sells it. It's not really "close by" but again, I know they sell it because we bought some there last year.
