I understand that the beach is technically a public beach. But what about the pier? Is that exclusive to resort guests? Is it a place where nudity is acceptable/reasonable? Do guests typically go to the end of the pier to sunbath rather than use the beach? I would hate to be "trapped" out on the pier nude while the clothed public walked up on us. Thanks for the help in advance! We are excited to be coming to Pearl next month

The pier is the property of Pearl and nudity is allowed. There are gates to enter the pier with signs posted that it is for use of Pearl guests only. However, an occasional non guest wonders out. We walk out nude many times on a visit.

In my 3 visits to Pearl, I have seen more 'non-desire' people than 'Desire' people on the pier. I think you will see a lot of clothed people on the pier that are outsiders. Personally, I think they go on the pier to get a better view of us nudies on the beach But whatever... go naked on the peir if you choose to... it's your vacation! But you are MUCH more visible on the pier naked than on the beach! Simply the line of sight is greater. When you are out there, you can see a huge amount of coast line; hence a huge amount of coast line can see you.

We've seen a few non-Pearl gawker walkers along the beach, just north. We don't want them to be "offended" ... "Oh my, honey, look at those naked people!" So, when we go onto the pier, we're always sure to wear our flip flops!

This picture was taken last November. Pier is the best place in DP where you can suntan in the last hours of afternoons.
No problem with nudity there. Few non guests actually enter to pier, they use to fool around by the entrance fence.

I don't think I've been on the pier dressed since our first trip.

My wife and I walked normally naked on the beach and pier. Everyone who walks on that beach knows what happens there. Relax and enjoy! There is a magic that will free you of these concerns ... Be sure of it!

We saw the gates and assumed it was closed or something. We didn't even bother going up there to read what the sign says. Shame on us, we need to check it out next time and see for ourselves. Sounds like a great spot to take some sexy pictures with nothing but the ocean as a backdrop.

We have an alcohol fueled tradition (OK, we did it once, the last time we were there with our friends, but swear we'll do it on each return visit) where we jump off the pier naked into the ocean. It's fun, I recommend it.

In fact, we went for a nude snorkel along the pier.

Sounds like a wonderful idea! Did you see anything of interest while snorkelling?

When we were at Pearl and went out on the pier, there was DP security guy preventing nonDP people from going on the pier. We didn't care who saw us anyhow.

One of our favourite places to hang out when it's really hot, always a breeze as a great view of the resort. Lots of great photo ops with friends too, nudity not an issue at all.

Yes! Lots of juvenile reef fish hang out at pretty much any bottom structure you can find. Lots of stuff hangs out in the grass beds too so go slow. Saw a 4 foot tarpon before we got in but he bolted before we swam his way.
