The morning yoga class is either held on the grass beside the pool or at the end of the pier. Generally it depends upon the weather and in particular the strength of the wind. You can do the class naked if you want but generally people wear exercise wear. I am not sure whether you were serious when you asked your question but I have seen naked people doing the yoga class at Pearl, RM, and even at the old Desire Cabo so- being a clothing optional resort- it really is your choice.

Thanks for the answers, and yes it was serious!

My wife and I both do yoga, and I was kind of hoping it wasn't naked... kind of takes the down dog to a whole new level! :)

They used to have Tantra Yoga twice a week, at the end of the dock, at 4PM. (Summer 2014). The time we atended I was nude, my wife thong-topless. Other opted for going dressed and some for going nude. It was very nice class, funny and exciting. I'm not sure if they still have it.

I am pretty sure they don't offer that class any more. Usually it depends upon the capabilities of the entertainment staff and the last time we were at Pearl there wasn't anyone teaching it. On the other hand the entertainment crew changes on occasion so it might be worth mentioning to Enrique (Entertainment Manager) if it is something that you would like. For those who do not know Enrique he is usually the one doing the pre-foam party introductions at the pool.

Do they provide yoga mats or should we bring our own?

Haven't stayed at Pearl, but at RM the yoga mats are provided. I should imagine Pearl would be the same.

They do provide yoga mats as well as beach towels which you can lay over the mat. The class is held at 10 a.m. either on the grass on the quiet side of the pool or out on the end of the pier. The pier is nicer but it usually depends on how windy it is that day. All you need to do is show up.

I hope they still do the yoga - we both practice as well.

Kayla and Mia were taking turns running the Yoga class when we were at the Pearl last month. I always do the class in the nude but ask the ladies (guests) if they are comfortable with others being nude. Never had a problem and the staff are just happy to have people attending the class. We ended up on the pier a few times, the grass by the quiet end of the pool a few times and once in the disco. Every class had at least one other nude male and nude woman in the class. Towels and mats are provided.

We were there late January. Classes held by Mia and Kayla. Mats and towels provided. The week we were there, she said her class size was from 2 - 6, mostly women, and no one was nude. Just another data point.

We are going in November and was wondering if anyone that has been there recently can comment on the quality of the yoga classes.

The regular staff members who "teach" the yoga classes do not seem to be actual yoga instructors. They know a little yoga and demonstrate some poses for the group to follow. If you are a relative beginner or just enjoy the company of others while doing basic yoga, the classes should be enjoyable. If you are experienced and want more a more challenging class or would like constructive input from a yoga instructor, you may not find the classes to be terribly satisfying. That said, we LOVE the staff for all other activities at Pearl and are not trying to insult them. We're just being honest. In the past, there have been visiting yoga instructors and those were way better.

Neyu Ma was a visiting yoga instructor a few years ago at Pearl. From her current instagram feed she's back for fun for a week or so. I agree with BrewAndSue about the level of the classes. As fun as the yoga classes were last year, lead by the wonderful entertainment staff, Kayla and Mia, I think Neyu is in a different league. I hope she's there when we go next. I asked her via e-message last year if she was going back to Desire and she replied she didn't have any plans and spent the last year instructing at resorts in the South Pacific. Seems she's good at living her life in the moment lol
