It's almost time for early check-in, so we are looking for suggestions on best standard ocean view rooms to request.

Can anyone recommend a specific room in the Seahorse Villa (rooms 31-43) or Fish Villa (rooms 20-30)? Somewhere close to Jacuzzi but still somewhat quiet so we can sleep at night, ground or 1st floor, patio, and view we may see?

We always requesting ground floor at the seahorse building. It’s close to the pool and to the hot tub area... and you do not have to worry about stairs late at night. It’s also very convenient to get in and out of the room through the patio door, so you don’t have to walk around the building. On the other hand, all of the rooms are the same and we spend only few hours per day in them, so it does not really mater

We agree! We've had a top floor room and a walk out room near the pool. Prefer the walk out definitely! Easy to get to during the day and ease at night not navigating steps.

I've heard there are Ocean View's with plunge pools, is that true?

We ended up with a 1st floor room in seahorse with a patio this time. There were only a few stars to go up which wasn't bad at all. We enjoyed the patio and even had sex outside a few times.

We stayed in a ground floor Master last trip and loved it. It was convenient to walk out to the pool. We also loved having a bed right on our patio. It was great for laying on having mimosas in the morning.

OK...here is the best advice in the world, and I don't mind sharing it because we are trying RM this year instead of Pearl. Room 35...1st floor, Walk out to the pool, perfect view of the pool and beach, very close to the hot tub, yet it is somehow insulated so it is so quiet. The rooms around 35 seem to get hot tub noise all the time, and 35 is almost silent when you close the sliding door. For us the hot tub is the focal point of the resort, so being close to it is fun. It's an 8 second walk from door to hot tub. And if your door is closed you don't even know it exists. It is by the party side of the pool, so keep that in mind, but we like that. We got it our first trip, loved it and requested it our second, and got it again.

What was the category of room for it?

Room 35 is just a standard DOV

Thanks, heading out in three weeks and thought I would check. With Melissa just getting out of the walking boot from breaking her foot last visit, we will be trying to get the best located Master Suite available on the ground floor.

FYI - compiled when Pearl first opened - they may have changed some of these room categories since then ...

Any way to tell which ones are on the ground floor?

One change I know of is all the rooms have king beds now. Last time I spoke with someone they said they don't have rooms with two doubles anymore.

Not that I've been able to figure out, there's no consistent pattern since each building is configured differently - lol

When I'm there in March I'll walk around and make a list so that we can cross reference with your room type chart and post it

Is this a fairly recent development? We stayed in a Master Suite with plunge pool last June which had 2 beds and a handicapped shower stall (number 20 if the chart is correct)...
