I'd think this subject had been covered, but didn't find it when searching.

How's cell phone coverage at Pearl? We have AT&T and can get an international plan for about $30 per phone with unlimited text. That's how we'd like to communicate with home while there if possible. But we did the same thing on a recent trip to Ecuador and it turned out to be a waste due to such bad coverage.

Cell phone coverage at both Desire properties is 100% - you should have no issues

Sonomapair, double check with AT&T before you pay extra, they now include service in Canada and Mexico at no additional charge. We have AT&T and had great service when we are at Pearl.

I think all major US carriers are free in Mexico now. We have Sprint and had to download an update before we left. No problems. No charge.

We can confirm, cell coverage is good at Desire. We do have T-Mobile, so we make our calls home over the Desire Wi-Fi at no additional cost. Text is unlimited as well.

Sure enough! Thanks for the tip. It's been a year since we were in Mexico...and we had to pay last time.
