Walking the beach at Pearl

We spent a day at Pearl while we were staying at DRM in 2015. We didn't walk the beaches adjacent to Pearl. Can we walk on the non Pearl beach nude? If not what do we have to wear? How far north and south is it safe to walk on the beach?

We walked south into town a few times. It was a nice walk past single family homes and hotels. I know that some people have posted that they have walked in that direction topless and in thongs but we were always casually dressed and the people we saw were the same. If you get to town I believe it is not legal to be topless. There are massage tents and a few casual bars also on the way into town. We enjoyed the walks and will do it again when we return in May.

One comparison between DRM and DP, at DRM, I noticed more people from other resorts cutting through on walks that would "go native" as they passed by. At DP, I saw a few couples where the women went topless at the edge, but no one actually stop and get nude. Also, there were more kids to either side of DP, especially to the south, maybe a family beach? I saw a couple of groups of teens get to the N. edge of the property, security or someone would escort them on the pier to a small boat, take them down to the other beach and drop them off. Although on occasion you would see some younger guys, maybe 17 or 18, stroll through, not get nude, but hang out in the ocean by the old pilings for awhile till security would say something to them. The one morning I went for a walk So. of the resort, no shoes but had on shorts and carrying my shirt. One of the guys raking the beach politely said "Senor, you will have to put your shirt once you get past the next resort". I only went about 100 yds before turning back anyhow.

Today, around 3:30 PM, I was at the Puerto Morelos beach, south from DP, when a middle age couple was walking from DP towards the town. They aproached to the village and came back. She was wearing a very small bikini bottom, topless. He wore bermuda swimsuit. Nobody told them a single word, it's completely normal there.

We walked from Pearl to puerto morelos on the beach last Thursday.
Wife wore a diminute thong, topless, with a completely see-through mesh dress over all.

Got a few stares from tourists, but that was expected, lol.
Strolled through the town's streets for an hour or so. All fine.

Is the beach in pretty good shape right now? Last time we were at pearl it was basically closed bc of seaweed.

We just got back from Pearl this past Saturday. The beach itself is looking good. The ocean had a fair amount of sea grass, more so during our last few days as the wind was blowing in. We didn't venture into the water as it was quite cool. Not many people on the beach most of the week as it was quite windy and fairly cool a few days as well.

Ocean conditions vary from one day to other in this time of the year.
Yesterday, it was a wonderful day: blue sky with few clouds, moderated wind, few seaweed. Yes, the water isn't warm, but after the first 10 seconds, it feels nice.

We just got back last night and the tide was super high the last few nights. On Sunday morning while everyone was playing beach volleyball the tide was almost to the edge of the volleyball court. We have never seen as much foot traffic on the beach as we did this trip, we even saw quite a few children, which is very uncomfortable for me.

Children are born naked, too, so in our view, it's OK. That is, unless you are having sex on the beach which is "technically" not supposed to happen. Go to Cap D'Agde sometime and you may become more comfortable with the idea of being naked in front of children. Being in a "naked city" is rather liberating! :)

Brewandsue, I can't ever see feeling comfortable nude in front of children, nor would I want to try it. Maybe it is my upbringing, I am a pastor's kid, that causes me so many hang ups in this area but I can't get over it.

We have walked to town with other couples in nothing but tiny bottoms. Once we got to town we begrudgingly put on our tops. Did we get looks, yes. Did we care, no!!!! In fact here was a group of 20 somethings that had their tongues just a waggin and I decided to give them something good to talk about so I landed one on my girlfriend and grabbed a nice fistful of breast. The silence was priceless.

I wake up early every morning and walk the beach in the nude, don't see too many people, the guys clean up the sea weed and a few runner. If I see a family, I'll walk into the water or up the chairs. To walk on beach in the buff is best thing every, Love it. After all it is a nude beach.
