We'll put it out there...we are 58 & 60 YO and love being around others in the lifestyle and are into soft swapping. Thus we'd like to find times of the year or groups going to Pearl that have more couples in their 50's & 60's.

We've been to Pearl 5 times and love the resort and have noticed the age mix can really vary. Truly always wonderful people, but we've also noticed a natural grouping of ages for "socializing"...nothing strange as it's as one would expect.

Thus we think that besides us there are some others in their 50's & 60's that may be looking for what we are looking for...ya go ahead and say it to yourself...some good dates to go to Pearl where your odds are higher of finding others wanting what you want

Does anyone have any suggestions for groups or times of year?

I think the best time will be at the end of January, in the ISM

Hey Mark & Kiki !! We arrive 2 days after you. We have been to Pearl various times of the year, and have found a wide range of ages each time. Remember, it's just a number.

We hear ya and what you say is of course true. For us, this isn't about how we feel physically or emotionally or any self esteem type thoughts. Look at this way...there are various forms of Young Swinger weeks at the Desire's, Hedo and similarly marketed events for takeover weekends at hotels...those all makes sense to us. Basically, our post here is just about finding something similar to a flip side of the Young Swinger events. Maybe or maybe not formally marketed as such, but just some group or time that has evolved to have more couples 50+.

Regardless, we'll keep going to both Desires and Hedo...as we love the people and places. If there are times like what we have asked about...we will give those times a try too.

ps...none of the above is to say that both of us haven't looked around and said to each other..."damn, if I was 35 again I would yadda yadda"...seeing younger couples living life is part of life's joys whether at a Desire resort or out in the real world!

We went to Pearl last week of Jan this year, and the average age on the Jacuzzi during out last day there was around 60-65.

That is such a good question. We would love to go knowing that there are more people in our age range there. I know age is just a number...but I can't help but feel old when I actually am the oldest one there! Also....what is ISM?

We don't think there is any right answer to when more or fewer people in their 50's and 60's will be there. It is all up to chance. The only possible logic that can be applied is that MAYBE there are more "older" couples there during the more expensive seasons, assuming that they have had more time in their lives to become financially comfortable. That said, we know plenty of people in their 50's and 60's who don't have much money to spare and many younger couples who can afford to go to Desire or Pearl several times a year.

The YNot group that has annual group trips to Desire RM tends to be more "seasoned" attendees, with many repeat members. This year is our first trip with them, and of the 55+ couples attending, the majority are easily in the 50-60 y/o range

we go during most US holidays (take advantage of the 3-day weekend to get away from work). We have noticed that certain holidays have an older crowd (Thanksgiving & Christmas = Empty-nesters). Otherwise, the age range has always been wide and not at all predictable.

We're both staring at 60 ourselves. Pick a date and we'll go to DP with you. That will be 4 of us--it's a start. Reading the post, traveling with a group might be the answer. We have not traveled with a group, but would like to.
