Sexy, Young, Wild in August vs July

Hello:

We are planning our first trip to Desire Pearl this summer. We are debating either July or August. Two questions:

1) What appeals to us about the SYW music week is the DJ's, etc. We love techno/EDM music and want to know what is played during SYW vs what is normally played at the pool?

2) We are 39 years old and would prefer ages to be somewhat close to ours. Is the average age really that much younger at SYW vs an normal week in July?

Thank you!

We usually go during the Music event (wife's Birthday) but changed this year to July. A lot of the rooms were outsourced to another travel agent to help promote the music event, we had to contact him in order to get price for ocean view room. The price was too high and we could not combine room with flight to save money like orbitz. Two years ago the event was small and not very good, but last year was a lot better.

We are in our mid 30's and thought the Beach Fest weekend was the best. Wife has a million hot bikini's and looks great in (and out) of them...

Cheers,

Sorry we are so late to answer this. Hopefully it can still help.

1) Yes the Dj's with EDM music was what appealed to us too. We went last year and had a blast, really enjoying the music aspect, and are returning this year. They didn't play all EDM music but mostly and it definitely was NOT what is typically played at the pool. Some days they setup pool side. People who did not like EDM complained. We loved it.

2) yes, it definitely draws a younger crowd. We have been to Pearl 3 times and RM 2 times and the Music Fest trip had the youngest crowd of all. Definitely more of a party crowd.
