Jr Suite orMaster Suite

First timers. Had our choice of either Master Suite or Junor Suite. Is it worth paying the extra for Master? We kinda figured we weren't going to probably be in the room that much so why pay more. What do the veterans think?

TIA

Most likely you won't be in your room that much.
We will be at Pearl for our sixth trip, and will be in a Master Suite. For us the great plus of the Master Suite over a Junior one is the availability of two full bathrooms, so you don't have to wait for your SO when preparing for dinner or theme night :D
In addition the Master Suite has a separate living, which might be nice when inviting friends.

Looking forward to meeting you July 1. Send us "veterans" a pm when you have any further questions.

Which resort are you referring to? Junior and Master Suites are available at Pearl, but your avatar text mentions you'll be at DRM. We stayed in a Master Suite at Pearl, and really enjoyed the private outdoor "pool" (it's a hot tub) on a few occasions. The living room is huge, but we didn't use it at all. I agree if you want to host folks in your room, it might be handy.

At DRM, we usually pick the Jacuzzi Suite, although I believe they're down to 2 of these now. The "living room" there isn't very big, and just part of the regular bedroom, but we enjoy the butler service that comes with the room.

If you want photos, both web sites have virtual tours that let you zoom around the room and see the inside for yourself.

Strong preference for Master Suite [at Pearl] due to the two full baths.

She loves the penthouse suite (as do I) --however, the price is getting a bit out of hand. Having said that, the master suite is great. Half the price, lots of room and two baths. True, most of the time in the room is spent preparing to leave the room. But, the smaller rooms at Pearl and RM were just too small for us. We're doing the master suite in 13 days and will likely pony-up for the penthouse for a return visit in Sept. (if one is available).

We made the mistake of doing a Master Suite on our first visit. Now there is no way we would go to a smaller room. Having two bathrooms is great as well as the extra room to invite friends.

We vote for Master Suite. On our first visit we got the normal "ocean view room." Lasted three days and moved up to a Master Suite for all the reasons mentioned above. Our last stay was in Rm 16...loved it. First trip was Rm 15...right across the hall but Rm 16 was our preference.

We made our first trip to Pearl this past December after several to DRM. Had a Jr. in Seahorse. Don't remember the number but was one short flight of steps up and end of hall on the left. Loved the room. We thought about a Master when planning our trip but opted for the Jr. to save some money and were very happy. Had a lovey view of the pool and beach. Quiet but pool and hot tub just around the corner.

Is 15 or 16 on the ground floor

If you do a master suite, we would recommend the ground floor because the patio is awesome. You have a bed and a table, also you can leave your sliding glass door open (don't latch it b/c it locks automatically) then you can go in and out that way from the pool instead of having to walk around. We usually get 64 & 65 and they are ground floor this last trip we were in 3 and it was right by the pool, ground floor definitely our new favorite room.

Two baths is a great idea. We booked a Jr for our Maiden Head trip next year. Requested a downstairs Jr in Sea Horse. it has a patio that apears to be a walk out to the party end of the pool.

The other problem with the penthouse is all those stairs when you've had a bit too much to drink.
