Ok, I know the TVs have an HDMI input. Does anyone know for sure if they also have a USB input? We would like to bring our own flash drive full of movies and don't really want to also bring a laptop.

Thanks!

If I remember correctly they are Samsung Smart tv's, but don't have the built in wifi receiver. They should have USB so that an ext wifi adapter can be used. I'm about 95% sure you will be fine bringing your USB drive.

Thanks man! We've got a Samsung in the bedroom, and it works fine with pretty much anything USB. Should be good to go.

Just got back and wanted to inform anyone interested that our 2 TVs in the Master Suite had USB connections. However they were older TVs and were unable to do anything but view pictures from a USB stick. No movies.

This is a dumb question, but why would you spend ANY time in your room watching TV?

Sometimes a little downtime is necessary. Everybody vacations differently. My idea of a vacation isn't the same as the next person's, even at Desire.

Because we heard the porn channels at Pearl are pretty bad. We wanted to bring our own. We heard correctly, watching the Playboy channel with Spanish subtitles that can't be turned off is, well, a turn off.

Sorry, I thought you would be good to go. We just got back from RM and the TV's in the new suites are newer Samsungs and I could have sworn the TV's in the penthouse at Pearl we stayed in back in April were also Samsungs. I have never tried a USB stick because I always take my Mac and a HDMI adapter. We usually stay in at least 1 night and watch Netflix or Slingbox to catch up on some rest. The porn does suck so the Mac comes in handy for that too.

Yeah, these were LGs that were probably 6 or 7 years old. I imagine they're slowly upgrading and just hadn't made it to room 26 yet.

Indeed. I thought they were portals to some secret porn dimension that we have thus far been unable to find.

Last we were there we got 4 porn channels, and 8 channels with soccer games. not one channel was English speaking. But as stated previously, why watch TV? One of the reasons we go to Cancun is to escape American television.

One afternoon, in Jacuzzi, I told one of the ladies that channels 41 and 42 are for commercial porn, but if she ever pass them, she will find that channel 43 is set up for watching your own room and that channel 44 is set to watch neighboring room. I had a very hard time to keep my face straight when I was telling her this story. Later that evening she met me at the lobby and told me that her TV does not go to channel 43 and 44, so I send her to the reception to request that this option would be turned on. She believed me again and went straight to the woman at the reception. You should have been there to watch that dialog going
