Third time at DP. Most of our previous dinners were at Pearl. For some reason we got off our cycle, having dinner at 8, and ended getting hungry earlier. To this point, we had eaten dinner at Aphrodite only once. Although, the scenery is not as interesting, the food and service is actually better at Aphrodite. At Pearl the portions are tiny and dinner can take two plus hours.
One memorable meal at Aphrodite was on Mexican night. We are from SoCal, so we know real Mexican food. This was unique Yucatán Mexican food. Great flavors and great service. So the take away is, if you don't want to get dressed up and keep it casual Aphrodite is a great alternative to Pearl.
