Has anybody heard that the hot tub at Pearl is going to be down for maintenance this summer? wondering what dates it will be

June 4 - 11

The hot tub is closed all this week? Where does the hot tub crowd go? Are the beds open or is the aera closed?

FYI - This is what has been officially announced

We met some members there who had no idea the hot tub was shutting down - they had just arrived. They were uhh, pissed.

It's a rock and a hard place for Pearl obviously. If they announce it broadly, they would probably lose significant income. If they say nothing, it's disingenuous.

Thank goodness for this forum and the info it provides. It always amazes me how many people we meet there who have never even heard of this forum.

FYI - the announcement(above) of the Jacuzzi renovation was sent well in advance(emailed) to all those that had reservations at Pearl that overlapped the time period of the renovation

Yes, we are so glad that we saw it on this forum, as I never saw an email. We ended up changing our reservation to RM and had a blast!

Are the hot tub renovations completed?

We will arrive soon and will LOOOVVVVEEE to get in the hot tub as soon as we arrive.

I saw pics of the completed hot tub on a group we are in. So yes it’s done.

Uh - no it was not. It may have been sent to some, but it definitely wasn't sent to ALL. We were there at the time of closure and we didn't know anything. We visited several guests and never found anyone who was officially told. Only ones who knew were those on the forum. So, now we're members of the forum

Unfortunately, we had reservations the week the hot tub was shut down and we also did not receive notice at all from the resort. The only “heads up” we had was from reading about it on this forum. We were actually in denial because, c’mon, what are the chances the hot tub will really be shut down for 5 of the 7 nights that we will be there? - and the more time that went by without us receiving a notice from the resort, the less I worried about it. When I finally looked into changing to RM, it was too late.

I’m not pissed, because we love the place so much - just disappointed. The concessions made with the pool staying open later each night and the offer to use the RM hot tub were a nice thought, but our stay just wasn’t the same without the hot tub. And, it really is unbelievable that we weren’t notified.
