If there is any effect at all I'd wager that the yellow wrist bands would result in less then attention, not more.

I'm surprised anyone wouldn't want the yellow bands. We had them in February and loved them. It was so easy to find other newbies to chat with and was an insta-bonding thing. Befriended multiple couples we've met up with since then all because of the yellow bands. We've joked that we're going to ask for them again when we go back.

We now plan to keep yellow wrist bands on hand -- just in case -- just in case we bump into someone else we know from home.

"Lookee here! First timers! That's us!"
"WE HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THIS PLACE!"
"And you've been here HOW MANY TIMES?"

Last year we got the yellow wrist bands, (our first time). I wish we could get one every time. Staff and guests go out of their way to be nice to you it seems. Second time white bands, it didn't seem as special. (But it was just as sexy!)

We went to DP July 2017 for our first time we were given yellow wrist bands but to be honest they were not really yellow they were a off white(kinda beige), not a bright yellow beacon. I really didn’t notice any extra attention wearing yellow everyone seemed to talk an socialize with everyone wristbands didn’t matter. We had planned to stay together while at the resort before we left not knowing what to expect but after the first day my wife would wake up and say go down stairs and get us some good loungers at the pool. Of course I would stop and get her a coffee with 1921 for in bed. There is nothing to worry about if you two are not together. The respect factor at pearl was amazing!!! coming from a first timer!!. We will be back in 2019 at pearl. Cant wait!!!!

Yep, that's still an option at Pearl.

Not hit on you, but genuinely talk to you. I know that if you read the boards, you hear all of these same things. But, honestly, until you've been there you can't fathom how comfortable you can be.

My answer if you want to be hit on-- Flirt it up! (all the same things that I said above are still true!)

I absolutely agree. We were just there for our first time in August. And we definitely over thought everything. From what to wear to what kind of people would be there and how they would act. All I can say is it is the most comfortable I have ever felt and the vibe is amazing.
You will definitely understand once you get there!!!!!!

I would say that you are more likely to get people to try to help you feel comfortable and offer to answer questions for you with the yellow bands. That's what we did with several "newbie" couples at RM last month.

As frequent visitors to Pearl, I like the idea of the yellow band. I do seek the newbies out and ask them if they have any questions, which usually leads to us talking and me dragging them back into our group of friends.
