Reserving a room ahead of time

First timers arriving in October. We are staying in a Junior Suite. Is it possible to request a specific room? What is the lead time for requesting? I have seen some other posts discussing this, but never found a definitive answer. This is not a big deal, but we would prefer an upper level room. If there is an opportunity to do this in advance we would like to take advantage of that.

You can check-in online 15 days prior to arrival. During that process, you can make requests. No guarantee it'll be granted but it doesn't hurt to try.

Hi, we made reservations for late October. Are you guys saying that we have to wait until 15 days prior to our arrival to make any requests? I seem to remember adding a request during the time of our booking, but I could be mistaken.

Maybe the best practice would be to check back right at 15 days prior for the highest chance of getting our request?

Yea you can request a room when you do early check in but rarely do you get the requested room. The problem is that they are frequently sold out and and with people checking in and out different days of the week you would have to get real lucky to have the room you choose available when you are checking in.

We have always been given the room we requested during the pre check in. On our April trip we came in a day early because we couldn’t take another day at Temptation. Our room we wanted was taken and we expected it to be since we were early. The next morning the butler met us and said the room we requested was ready and he would move our stuff. So they will dontheir best to accommodate people.

To some extent, it depends upon the type of room you will be in. Certain categories only have a few rooms so they will be more difficult to provide than others. But ask...in writing. They do try to accommodate those requests.

Very helpful info from the group. :D I'm sure we will be happy with any room, but are hoping for our choice. Does anyone know of a room map that shows exact room locations? We did find the building map and it was useful.

Can't wait to get there, but still 2 -1/2 months away.

We always use the early check in feature. As has been said, they will try to accommodate you. Last month, at check in, they knew what we requested and told us they could move us the next day. We book a Master Suite and where they placed us was acceptable so we did not move. They are very helpful.

Can anyone explain how the early check-in feature works? We understand when to do it just not quite how to do it.

It's not really an "early check-in"

It's called an Express Check in - all it does is allow you to fill in most of the info(paperwork) you would normally have to do at the front desk during check in - thus saving you some time when you arrive

The on line Express Check in form is very easy and uncomplicated and there is an area for any special requests you may have

We booked through Right Connections Travel. Will we receive an email to do the Express check -in, or where do we find the form on the website?

Thanks in advance!
