We are celebrating our Anniversary while we are at the Pearl. Do they allow you or has anyone brought their own wine to be served at dinner? We are thinking of bringing a couple of bottles.

We do it all the time. No one has a problem with bringing your own.

Try equal parts of fireball, rumchata and kahlua in a glass over ice.....tastes just like cinnamon toast crunch...YUM.

Sorry, not trying to hijack this thread. We bring wine and champagne to the resort all the time. Get some wine bottle sleeves, makes the journey just fine!

We bring a case of wine with us every time. Although, one wine that we recommend trying at the resort is Monte Xanic Gran Ricardo. It's not too overpriced and is (in our opinion) excellent.

Here are the amounts you can bring in: If you are bringing alcohol into Mexico from the U.S., you are allowed to bring up to three liters of liquor or beer and six liters of wine per adult.

Verify this is still the case before your travel dates but it's been like this for a while now.

Actually the current Mexican Customs limit is defined as " 3 liters (per adult person) of alcoholic beverage "

They don't differentiate anymore what type you are bringing in, so 3 liters max of anything alcoholic - See the attached current Mexico customs form ;)

In June of this year (2018), we brought (12) .75 l bottles of wine because the customs form said "six liters of wine per person." In the previous years we took (8) bottles: (4) .75 l bottles per person.

We always go down to the Chedraui supermarket just off the highway in Puerto Morales. Great selection of wines at reasonable prices.
