For those that stay at another resort prior or after their Desire stay, do you take a taxi or use a transportation service?

We can't say what best way to change resorts during your trip as we get off the plane and go straight to Desire and stay there until its time for our return home. But I have read that some people have had good experiences with USA Transfers.

We don't get into Cancun until the evening, and don't want to waste a day when we just need to acclimate to the timezone and shake the jet-lag away, so we always stay at the Marriott Courtyard the night before.

We get USA Transfers to pick us up at the Courtyard and take us to Desire, then back to the airport when leaving. We've never had an issue - and USA Transfers have always been right on time.

The least expensive and most comfortable way to do this is to book all your Mexico ground transportation as a single booking with one company.

For instance if you where to use USA Transfers you would just have to contact them and ask for a quote on a three way transfer
ie: Airport to 1st resort > 1st resort to Desire Pearl > Desire Pearl to airport

We are doing exactly what Cokeman said. This Thursday we are flying down and going to playacar, then 2 days later going from playacar to Pearl, and then Pearl back to the airport. We are using USA TRANSFERS. Just fill in the USA TRANSFERS free form section. They will respond back very quickly with a quote.

I can't recommend USA Transfers highly enough for a 3-way transfer! They are fantastic! We have used them for 5 years in a row to do this.

We fly into Cancun, stay at another hotel for a couple of days, then make our way to Desire, then back to the airport. If you click on the USA Transfer link in this forum, typically a live chat pops up and you can make your arrangements through the live chat, then receive an instant confirmation to your email. It is very quick and easy.

So, no taxi necessary, imho, USA is the way to go!
