Pizza oven is not open 24/7. It seemed to be open the same ours as lunch and dinner at Aphrodite. Not sure - but it was not open when we wanted it the most!

Well that sucks!

Just returned yesterday, and except for the disruption inside Aphrodite construction is no problem. Sections of Aphrodite are closed off and seating is somewhat crowded.

Why? Do you, or anyone, know what they're doing at Aphrodite and how long it's going to take?

Were at Pearl now and there’s no construction in Aphrodite. Not crowded.

That's great to hear... Wonder what they were doing last week? Just don't want any construction headaches for our stay in two weeks.

The construction of the mansion does cause some noise/is less than ideal or luxury for those staying on the "quiet" side. We always stay in Dolphin and I was disappointed in that decision this time. Again (see my seaweed barrier post) people aren't giving the full story. If you're on that side you will experience a narrow sidewalk with construction walls up, noise, smells, and construction workers enjoying the sights occasionally.

None of it is a major problem...,,BUT... when you pay The amount of money you do for Pearl you'd rather not deal with any of that. So I'd suggest picking a building from middle (seahorse?) Around to the hot tub end. This way you'll truly be able to ignore/not know the construction is going on.

Again, not trying to be an ass or hurt Desire's business but it seems like folks on here go out of their way to paint the rosiest picture so as not to say a bad word about Desire. Folks come on here to learn about the resort and get things figured out. Please, just tell it like it is so people can be informed.

Thanks for candid report. We are there in December, does anyone know when the construction is scheduled to be completed?

We go in three weeks, thanks for the heads up.

We have the mansion reserved Jan 9th, and have been reassured of it being completed by then.

I keep seeing references to different room locations - Aprhrodite, Dolphin, etc. Is there a map somewhere, so that I can figure out which is which? Having trouble finding it on the website. We've already booked, so I guess we are where we are, but would like to know how close we will be to the noise.
