Restaurants and Friday BBQ

Wondering about the food quality at the moment...

First time we went to Desire Pearl (like 2013) the food was terrible... The next time we went (like 2016) we were very surprised of how it had changed for the better. 2016 we also did RM and found the food quality even better there. The next couple of times at Pearl (2017 and 2018) it was ok...

But Unik was our favourite restaurant at Pearl. So now that it's gone, what would be the best restaurant at the moment and how is the overall quality at the moment in all restaurants at Pearl?

Wondering also about the beach BBQ on Fridays (which was really great)... Is that still going on?

Suki is our favorite restaurant at RM, so if they are bringing that sort of menu to Pearl, that would certainly offset the loss of Unik.

By chance are any of the menus available on line? I know that they change but it would give us a general idea of the
choices? Specifically interested in local and fresh seafood.

Thanks!

Most of our experience is at RM, but from what we have seen, they have lots of seafood and it is usually good, but they do not advertise it as local or fresh. Some of it might be local, but I suspect the majority is not. Expect to see a lot of salmon, random unidentified white fish, and tuna. When we were at RM a couple weeks ago they had sea bass on the menu a couple of times. Grilled crab was an option at lunch one day. At Suki for dinner they had "sashimi" options of salmon, octopus, and scallops. Shrimp makes an appearance now and then, and at Sahlo at RM you can get larger shrimp (U10?) as an add on for an additional charge, but last time we did it was not worth it.

Thanks for the info. We were at Pearl 6 years ago but I can't remember the meals.

Our last two trips last year they still do the Friday barbecue. It’s my favorite day for food!
