Just booked for 09/15-09/21...feel like we got a steal (RT from SEA and 6 nights for <$2K). A very nice consolation prize considering we had to cancel our January trip to DRM (which would have been our first time at a Desire Resort).

On a side note, we want to take a few day trips to stretch our legs and take photos for our more Puritanesque friends. Are there any "must do once" cultural/historical things within reasonable daytrip distance of Pearl? Any good public markets nearby?
