We have been going to Pearl the last week of October till November 3rd for several years so we can be there for Halloween and Day of the Dead. The forecast I see on the Weather Channel is for slightly more rain than usual, but then most days have a forecast of rain that never happens. It’s a coastal tropical region so a rainy forecast is pretty normal. Actual rain isn’t - we have been at Pearl for 11 days in October without any rain. Other than one time at RM where it rained on and off for most of two days, occasional rain has never been a problem that prevented having a good time. Indoor activities and some time in your room or patio are fun too!! Keep in mind the way the weather services overstate the probability of rain. They would prefer to forecast rain and have the day turn out sunny in which case people are happy, as compared to forecasting a nice sunny day that turns stormy in which case people are unhappy with them. If you want to know more about the way The Weather Channel predicts and overstates the probability of rain, check out Nate Silver’s book The Signal and the Noise… a good read but not really a book to take to Pearl. Have a great time!
