June 30th - July 7
For those that just want a few specifics and our opinions without all the juicy details here is a short assessment.
Resort is beautiful, great pool, pool bar, great coffee in the lobby, all the staff was very friendly. Nice big rooms and the Jacuzzi is great. Very clean grounds, pool, and Jacuzzi. Loved being able to go to the beach naked. Loved Loved the foam party. Think this in my opinion was the best daytime activity out of the entire week.
Downfalls:
Service can be spotty when the resort is full. They tend to run out of items quickly when at full capacity such as pancakes at 9:30 am and won’t make another batch of batter. Shrimp wrapped with bacon on Caribbean night buffet out at 8:30 pm. They closed the pool bar at 4:30 pm everyday so when you try to get a drink at 4:37pm bartenders refuse and refer you to the Jacuzzi bar or the bar in Aphrodite the buffet area. Scheduled to be open till 5 pm suggest keeping it open till 6 due to amount of people still in pool/beach area. Some bartenders at the pool and lobby bar either don’t speak English or pretended not to speak it. Only 1 night out of 7 did housekeeping make us an animal on the bed. Always had to ask to restock the water bottles in the room after housekeeping was there. Activities crew need to make an effort to dress for theme nights. Also would like to see more trivia type games rather than just sport activities during the day. No booby rolls or helicopters. When it rained the activity crew scattered you were lucky to find them appear again when the rain cleared. Disco cleared out way to early, well at least until the Cabo crew arrived then we shut it down every night. Need more pool beds around the pool bar area as the beds are only located on the beach or the quite end of the pool. Not enough pool chairs or beach chairs when resort is completely booked. Also if you are assigned a seat make sure you put your things there or if they say it will be ready in an hour you better be there because if another couple takes those chairs they fail to mention to them you were already given those seats, even if they put your room number on the clip board. Not enough staff to cover full capacity. Members do not have an assigned cocktail waiter/waitress (PePe). Disco very warm when guests fill it up. Lobby needs more fans and/or Air Conditioning.
We do feel that Management is working to improve upon these concerns. Just takes some time.
With all that said we had a great great time, regardless of the downfalls. It is definitely our opinion that it is the guests that make our trips most fun, sexy and exciting and that is why we choose to return time and time again. You get to meet so many fun loving beautiful people (not just on the outside per say) that it just keeps us wanting more and never wanting to return to the real world. Tip we always take Kyo-Dophilus vitamin a few days before daily and during our trip daily to prevent digistive problems with Mexico food or water/ice. Haven't ever had a problem available at your local vitamin store. We drink the water/ice and all the fish.
Long trip report but I like to give a lot of details so sorry if I’m long winded. Oh wait he likes me long winded, at times that is.
Original trip planned for Cabo but that is all we wish to say about that. Businesses close on a day to day basis with no warning to employees or patrons. Just the way the world is. Adjust to it is all you can do. Guys that’s not an invite to stand in front of us and adjust. Just Kidding.
Well off we go to our 1st Pearl visit. Up bright and early at 4 am in Arizona. Can’t wait to get away as day before was 121 degrees. Give me the water and I don’t mean to drink, for that I have Jose.
Smooth check in process with US Airways, even got bumped up to 1st class cause they messed up on our seats and didn’t have us sitting together. Let the Bloody Mary’s begin. No problems on flight even arrived into Cancun a few minutes early. Oh wait it’s storming and I don’t mean just rain. Lightning and Thunder. Get off plan make it through Immigration no problems. Even smiled at us when she saw my nails and that we were going to Desire. Yes, I do my nails for every holiday it’s a big ice breaker. Those that have had the pleasure to meet me at the resorts know what I mean. All decorated/painted up with bling bling for 4th of July.
Here comes the baggage. Boom Boom no baggage coming out for anyone. Yes every time it thundered every employee outside and inside disappeared. Airport lost partial power too. Can’t really blame them but when his bag comes off and we are still waiting, waiting and I mean waiting. Oh shit what am I going to do all my costumes are in there. Forget the rest don’t you loose my costumes. Here it comes honey. Yes my bag arrives. I always get to press the green button and guess what we go on through as usual no red lights for us.
USA Transfers waiting for us outside in the pouring rain. Booked online via forums referral. Breeze no problems arrived on time to drop us off and pick us up on departure. Definitely recommend them. Driver’s are very very courteous and will try to answer all your questions about the sites and towns.
We did the pre-check in via online just as we have in Cabo. Arrived at the resort about 4:30 pm got our cool towel and drink upon arrival. Moved over to hear about the theme nights and restaurant options for the week. They give you a printed sheet for the week giving you the times of all activities day and evening along with nightly dress theme. On back of it lists the restaurants and the menu options for day and evening. So if your trip laps over to the following week make sure you go to the front and get the updated weeks sheet. WE did suggest to the resort that maybe they put this in the room in one of those flyer holders via housekeeping and update it per changes or special event weeks. As many guests we talked to did not know to go up front to the lobby to get an updated sheet and did not know what the week had planned. You can also check the board outside the disco daily as it will tell you. They are working on getting a board poolside. Got our bags to the room via bell boy service. He showed us the room and features. We had a ocean view room ground floor via request. Very nice room large bathroom but lit poorly. Our room was in the dolphin building #63 right outside the dive shop. They did ask a few times or make jokes about snorkeling or diving but got the hint we weren’t interested and from there on out they made jokes with us only as we walked by daily.
Decided we had to go eat something considering it was after 5 pm Cancun time, and no lunch yet so we walked around the beach area a bit, checked out the large gorgeous pool, limited people being closer to 6 pm now and pool bar closed so we saw the buffet being set up at Aphrodite just off the pool area. Went over and Kenya kindly accommodated us even though they weren’t quite fully set up yet. Would not have guessed it with the amount of food and the service we received that night. Manuel our server was fabulous we immediately hit it off with him. Great personality and very funny. Food was fresh and choices were great. As stated we arrived when they were just about to open for the evening.
So let’s go on up and check out the Jacuzzi area. Gorgeous and huge. Nice bar area but can be kinda hard to get up to at times to get a drink but we will say most people will scoot over and allow you in to get a drink or ask if they can order you one. People were friendly all saying hi and starting up the small talk. Hey how are you? When did you arrive? Where you from etc etc. Love the cubbies where you can put your things in and grab a towel. Did not see an extra stack of towels off to the side anywhere till later in the week when it got busier. Don’t like the fact you have to go down stairs to the bathrooms pool side. Watch out don’t wait too long to go as when you walk in the bathrooms they are freezing and well let’s just say when that ice cold air hits and you gotta go you better hope there is a stall open you can get to quick enough. Also be careful if you get in the Jacuzzi right off the cubicle area. There is a big drop that looks like a step when it fact it’s the bottom of the Jacuzzi. Yes I landed on my bad foot sore a couple of days but not too bad.
Decided to make our way up to the lobby bar as the water in the Jacuzzi to me was just luke warm at best. Maybe because it was due to full of bodies but not too sure. Had a couple of drinks at the lobby bar. Met up with the soon to be newlyweds that were getting married on the 2nd and we RSVP. Do it man was all decked out in Devil attire celebrating his birthday. Also got to meet up with Hans & Ellis (sorry if misspelled). Also met a few more amazing people. Ok back to room to get unpacked and ready for Angels & Devil night.
First theme night well it was a blast. That Red Devil was a willing participant even though he was about to get married which he reminded me during his lap dance. Hey I asked permission before we had to give our show as participants, and his lovely Angel said of course. Was a little disappointed when the activities crew showed up and only the ladies were dressed. How are you gonna get the guys involved and want to participate in costumes if you can’t make the effort as an activities group yourself? Well we saw that the disco was clearing out a bit early after the theme show was over and the activities crew was no where to be found to encourage anyone to stay and boogie the night away, so we said what they heck been a long day why not go over to the Jacuzzi for a bit before turning in. On our way out of the Disco we realized we were hungry. Smelled something amazing cooking. Off the side of the lobby in front of the spa area they were grilling burgers. Oh yeah and they were great just what we needed. Unfortunately that was the only night they had this, not sure why cause it was a big hit. There was a pizza bar off to the side of the lobby bar, sorry didn’t try can’t review not big pizza fans. Saw some action on the beds but not much. Definitely more at Cabo. Oh well our Cabo crew will be here in a few days.
Monday got up went to breakfast at the buffet great great selection. Always love the omelet station and don’t forget they do have an ala carte menu which we asked for because we wanted smoothies. Watched Rudy the iguana staring everyone down for a bite to eat. Decided to go for a bit of a walk along the beach and we walked the full way to town. About a 20-25 minute walk, but it was very very humid. Checked out a couple of stores not much different than any other tourist town so we hopped a cab back to Pearl $10 US Dollars. Not bad. Decided it was lunch time, also got our sun block and personal items for the pool afterwards. Asked Victor about pool chairs he said there was a couple leaving in an hour and we could have those even wrote our room number down on his clip board. Said ok we are gonna go eat first. Lunch was good had the fish tempura tacos off the ala carte menu and they were great. In the mean time I tried the clam soup, which threw my better half off since he is a soup lover and I really don’t eat that much soup. But I must say I loved all the soups I tried and I’m starting to rethink eating soup in the summer. He had some items from the buffet but also ordered the shrimp tempura from the ala carte menu. I tried it as well and it was just as good as the fish tempura.
Ok lets get wet. Guess what someone is in our chairs. So we track Victor down he says oh I’m sorry but someone sat there when I wasn’t looking. I can get you some towels though. We then decide to take the towels and check out the beach area. Stripped down right away and in the ocean we go. Yes some parts when first getting in are rocky but you can mostly see them and find a good spot to get in or just float out. Yes people walk by from other resorts but didn’t find that to be a problem. Well except for maybe Saturday (more on that later).
So by this time we are ready to hit the pool for some fun. Still no chairs so we decide just put our stuff down by the statue up top in between some chairs no problem. In to the pool butt naked, yes both of us. After all this is what we came for. Head over to the pool bar get a couple of drinks chill talk have a few laughs. Played water basketball. Which can get a bit rough especially with the single/swinger take over crowd that was there, so I got kinda uncomfortable after that. Decided to sit at the pool bar and watch my husband play water volleyball next. Plus the fact my foot was still a bit sore from the night before at the Jacuzzi misstep.
After the pool bar closed down, a bit early, decided to make our way up to the Jacuzzi to have a couple of drinks and meet some more people. It was a bit packed and the water this time was really really hot. So had a couple of drinks then headed to the room to refresh and get ready for the evening. Dinner at Pearl that night was amazing and we even got Manuel again as our server so service was right on spot. We were like wow if this is what the food is going to be like all week we will definitely not have any issues. After dinner went to the lobby bar to hear some music and have a few after dinner drinks. Got to meet some more great people. Off back to the room to get ready for neon night. Couldn’t wait to show off my costume. Those that had the chance to see it loved it. Nothing like anyone elses. We even handed out some glow sticks to some of the guests and staff. So if Sunday nights show was great can’t wait to see what they had in store for us tonight. Chippendales night. Invited 6 male guests to perform. Way to go Bill from Tucson, we were so happy to assist in your props and cheer you on especially being a local Arizonian. Disco time, well again started to clear out a little earlier than expected. Ok what the heck let’s head out to the Jacuzzi. We decided to just strip out of our costumes there and put our items in the cubicles minus the glow sticks. As I’m getting undressed my husband takes off in search of the facilities and I keep telling myself “don’t forget the leg warmers, don’t forget the leg warmers”. Ha guess what I forgot them, only to hand him a pair of soaking wet leg warmers upon his arrival to the Jacuzzi. Hey who said I couldn’t get the laughs going. Water got a bit hot that night too, and not too much going on so we decide to head back to the room for our own bit of fun and action.
Tuesday July 2nd. Birthday day!!!! I wake up to a nice pair of gorgeous gold hoop earings with rhinestones, b-day card, surrounded by flowers that my husband arranged from the flowers left on the bed the night before from housekeeping. The one and only night they decorated our bed. So needless to say I was very excited and happy to show him my appreciation. Plus it was raining outside so no hurry to go anywhere. We eventually made our way down to the buffet for breakfast, I had the eggs benedict off the ala carte menu, which were perfect. Lunch buffet, I had the B.L.T off the ala carte it was great. He had some soup, salad, and other items from the grill. Got a surprise visit from Rudy the iguana whom dropped in front of our table from the roof. YIKES!! It was still raining off and on but no worries we still were able to use the pool area and get some water volleyball in but then it rained so hard we couldn’t see the ball anymore. So it cleared out pretty quick some went to Jacuzzi, others to the buffet for a late lunch or mid afternoon snack. We choose to go dry off a bit and head to the lobby bar area as we were attending A&B’s wedding ceremony on the pier that afternoon. So we chatted a bit with a few couples up at the lobby bar and on our way out of the lobby.
Watched the wedding Ceremony which was just beautiful on the Pier. It helped that the rain cleared just in time and just long enough for the ceremony. After that the 6 of us, including bride and groom, headed back to the lobby bar for a few celebratory drinks.
After the bride and groom went on their merry way. We met J&D and just hit it off in the lobby. Almost lost track of time we were laughing so hard. Planned to meet up later at the disco and they too were transitioning there costumes for theme night from Cabo Roman night to Pearl Arabian night. Which both guys loved cause they had Roman Gladiator costumes.
Back to the room to freshen up for dinner. Pearl again. However we did not get Manuel that night as our server. So service was subpar at best. Lack of drink refills, the meat was really tough that night, that I barely ate my steak. Tried the onion soup didn’t really care for it no taste other than onion. Bit disappointed. Saw a few others complaining about their food quality as well. Ok let’s go out have an after dinner drink before the show. Again met some amazing people just talking and laughing and enjoying the music in the lobby. Went to the room to get costumes on and at that point my better half said he wasn’t going to dress up do to the lack of men participating in costumes for theme night. I even reminded him that D would also be a gladiator so no worries, but he choose not to dress. Well I didn’t let that stop me of course even though my mood was a bit bummed. Up to the disco for the show. Well guess what D got him to change his mind and he went back to the room to change and from there on my night was looking way up from there. Belly dance show was just amazing. We had so much fun in the Disco with J&D and we also had B&D join us in the disco fun for a bit that we closed it down we were the only ones in there at 1 am. At one point they even had a Happy Birthday message to me across the screens and I was dancing so much I didn’t notice it till another guest pointed it out. Thanks Dawn.
Wednesday woke up to rain again. Breakfast buffet still no complaints. I will say that G, Jose, Pascual, and Rudy (not the iguana) all go over and beyond service. Not once during our stay did we have any problems with service at breakfast or lunch with that crew. It was raining still so they moved the day activities to the lobby. Ping pong table, dart board, saw some board games. Did not see any of the activities crew. Oh wait here they come finally. We played a movie trivia game where they had the DJ play a song from a movie and you had to guess the movie title and some times the main actor/actress. Here comes some of the Cabo refugees. CLG and another couple. Said hello and welcome. After the trivia game the rain started to clear a bit and then everyone was leaving the lobby area. Well except for us that cause J&D showed up and let’s just say we couldn’t stop laughing. Wow where were they the first part of our trip. Wound up at the lunch buffet having lunch and even more laughs with them again, we haven‘t laughed that hard in so long. Hit the pool for some fun met up with B&D again then after they stopped serving drinks at the pool bar again earlier than expected we all headed up to the Jacuzzi. We were all having a great time laughing so hard again that one person I guess was a bit jealous of us having too much fun that they decided to try and barge into the group being very rude about it and her husband had to get her back into check and back over to the other side of the Jacuzzi where she originally was. May I remind everyone respect others please if they ask you to leave or do not invite you please don’t barge in even if we are just laughing, touching, and booby rubbing. Don’t assume it’s an open invite. B&D clarified early on that none of us were swingers so it allowed them too feel more comfortable just hanging and having fun with maybe a little touching. We did set ground rules amongst the 6 or us that nothing above the waste was off limits only below had to have specific permission. We all made plans to meet at pearl for dinner. J&D hadn’t eaten there all week due to the dress code (no sandals for men). So that night he decides to show up for dinner in those sandals that have a spot for each toe so they were closed toed and they let us in. Big mistake on there part I think. Just kidding. Pearl was busy so we had to wait at the lobby bar for about 20 minutes, no problem it was 8:30 pm we understood guests occupancy was picking up at the resort.
Finally seated, service was slow due to they also had a sushi bar outside of Pearl and they had they were just understaffed to accommodate. We had to ask for bread this time. Constantly getting someone’s attention for drink and water refills. D starts joking that he shouldn’t have to wear shoes since the legs on the wall have no shoes. So he decides to take his shoes and put them on the legs amongst a few other things he did
. Here we go again laughing so hard and non-stop. We were all having so much fun that we missed the theme night which was mask and cloaks night and from what I hear we didn’t miss much. Food quality was just okay. I had the cannelloni got tired of steak. Seafood soup however did not disappoint. A little desert and we were all good to go. Realizing we closed Pearl down, or maybe we scared a few guests off. Oh well we were there to have fun and fun we did. Over to the disco for a little boogying. After a while of dancing and looking around we realized it was a Cabo disco takeover the Cabo crew shut it down. Out to the lobby bar for a few refreshments. From there we decided to skip the Jacuzzi and headed back down to the pool with a bottle and glasses from the bar close to J&D’s room and not too far from ours on the quite end of the pool. Not when we got there J. Well let’s just say that we decided it was time to turn in but the rest of the gang were still there chatting it up (so they say) at 5am. Thursday July 4th let the festivities begin. Up for breakfast the pool area looked amazing with all the July 4th decorations. Guest’s decorated their seating areas. We actually had chairs that were ours for the day and not given away to anyone else. Hit the pool for some fun and met up with B&D again. Decided to grab a bite to eat just a little bit as we were waiting for the pool side bbq and band to start at 2 pm. Back over to the pool band starts danced in the pool and sang along for about 3 or 4 songs then downpour which lasted all of 15 - 20 mins. However the band packed it in and left, other guests decided to clear house of the pool area and it became almost abandoned. Never had the pool side bbq. But did begin a good game of water volleyball again finally. Again pool bar closed up early they start closing at 4:30 pm and will not serve after that, big disappointment. So got some snacks before the bufett closed and headed up to the Jacuzzi for a little bit with B&D. Didn’t stay too long, I think everyone was feeling the downward spiral of the partying the night before. Met B&D for dinner at the buffet which was Oriental night and I was tired of Pearl and hadn’t tried the buffett for dinner yet. Plus we didn’t want to get all dolled up for dinner that night. Big mistake Big mistake. Oriental food that is suppose to be crispy is hard to do when you have them sitting on a buffet all night. The only good thing I liked was the fried rice and the tempura. The sushi was not bad too that they give you as an appetizer upon sitting down. The others liked the miso soup and the tempinyaki grill. However D was not feeling well that night. So we chatted a bit and invited B to join us for the theme night since I had already signed up for the Mrs. American contest, that was postponed due to the afternoon rain. She knew he really wanted to see the stripper show in the disco. Off to get my Mrs. American costume on. The contest was a blast, everyone loved my outfit, the woman whom participated were amazing and we all tried hard to please the crowd. What better way to start off XS night with a bunch of woman running around the disco collecting clothing to see who can collect more. What a great crowd participating and willing to allow us to take their clothing oh and also get points for kisses the lower the kiss the more the points. Muah!
Well as far as the stripper show it was awesome. 1 female and 1 male so all can enjoy along with a few of guests being pulled in. More disco fever. At that point after all the running around collecting clothing and kissing through out the entire disco I was wiped out so we along with B went to the lobby bar area to get some refreshments and just chat and chill. We skipped the Jacuzzi that night entirely and just turned in early.
Friday another round to the breakfast buffet, the weather was great no rain in site. No disappointments on food or service. We decided to take a day trip over to RM and check it out along with say hi to Cesar and Black Magic from Cabo. Went to the Lobby got a cab right away $13.00 cab ride over to RM. Arrived met the conceirge she gave us a resort map and pointed us in the direction of the pool. Stopped at the bar just outside the lobby got a couple of Mimosa’s no problems. Saw a few people hanging around not many. Walked down to the pool area and it was packed with people all chairs were completely full from what we saw. Did not like that they had no pool bar. Didn’t see Cesar or Black Magic but saw some of the activity crew playing volleyball in the sand so we decided to check out the beach area. Beautiful plenty of beds and lounge chairs. Nice little bar on beach. But no Palapas for shade. Went to the bar ordered another round of Mimosa’s from a very nice bartender named CiCi. They were great she freeze blends the juice part so they stay nice and cold. She introduced us to the staff member in charge of beds and loungers he set us up in a nice cabana bed. Strip down into the beach we go. Lots of reef areas so be careful as the water isn’t that deep around the reefs. But we had no trouble playing and enjoying ourselves. Talked to a great couple from New Orleans that came over to us in the water for a bit. Then we saw all these people stopping at the shoreline looking at something so we decided to go check it out. Baby stingray and it wound up smacking him twice in the leg. He didn’t get stung just smacked. As I went to refill our refreshments with CiCi he ran into another gentlemen whom was staying at RM from Germany for 3 weeks. That’s all I have to say if you know what happens when Germans find other Germans to talk German too…lol
We were told there are a lot of stingrays in the area in the mornings and the staff try to catch them all and move them out of the net area, so be careful. Frank the German also told us he caught an electric eel during his stay too. He thought it was a river eel and picked it up. By this time ready for lunch, go over shower the sand off and head to the buffet for lunch. On the way we find Cesar and Black Magic and say hello. They joined us for lunch. RM buffet good selection but pretty small and right off the pool area so you will see people topless having lunch and naked people going to the bar from the pool area for drinks as this is where the pool bar area is. Food and service was good. But don’t really care for how the buffet was set up off the pool. Sorry but I like a little more clothing when eating. Even if just a sarong. It was nice though Cesar and Black Magic joined us for lunch and we got caught up with each other something that doesn’t happen at Pearl as the activity crew tend to stay to themselves to eat rather than joining guests which was always welcomed at Cabo. Talked to Cesar about the differences between the resorts. Asked if there were any pool chairs available so we could stay and play our daily round of volleyball and if he could arrange for us to see one of the rooms. Which he gladly accommodated us with a pool bed cabana for a few hours and arranged for us to see a room. One of the staff members came while we were playing volleyball but gladly waited till we finished the game. The room they showed us was just off the pool area and happened to be a passion Jacuzzi suite. Suite well I would say not, very very small rooms. But I don’t think that RM is for us. Just don’t like how large it is and the layout of the pool or beach area. We love to have a swim up bar. Took a look at the rooftop Jacuzzi and it was just way to small for us as well. Well back to Pearl, and Cesar and Black Magic arranged for us to take a water taxi upon our request. Apparently not a normal thing available. $20 US and on our way. Beautiful smooth ride got to see the rest of the beach area and resorts along our way back to Pearl. We show up hit the pool for a little bit and Jacuzzi area to say hi to everyone. Got a few drinks and off to the room to get ready for dinner. Choose to have dinner in Pearl again waited a couple of minutes for a table at the lobby bar no worries. Had kind of a quite dinner just the 2 of us, and guess what food and service not good at all. My steak was so tuff I couldn’t eat it. The beef Carpaccio I had was eatable but nothing to remember only the seafood soup and desert were the best. Service well it was just ok, again no bread delivered, had to stop them for drinks. Pearl was busy and so was the sushi bar outside of Pearl and again under staffed with a completely full resort. Some after dinner drinks and off to the disco we go. Circus show was good reminded me of a Las Vegas type circus show. Again staff only wore sexy dresses and men in casual attire. No costumes for Red, White, Blue night. (not sure why this was the special event attire night when 4th of July was Thursday night) . After that the Cabo crew (well most) were on the disco floor again doing their thing while others seem to clear out pretty early along with the staff.
Saturday
Well I decided I didn’t want to go down for breakfast so I sent him on along while I got up on some sleep. He went down around 9:30 am wanting pancakes since they were so good the other day. Well he was told out of batter and they weren’t going to make anymore. This was our 1st disappointment at breakfast during our stay. There were quite a few other guests that were disappointed by this as well. He decided to bring me some fruit and an omelet to the room after he arrived with my cappuccino from the lobby bar. Best coffee in the house if I haven’t mentioned is the lobby bar. Espresso, coffee or cappuccino if you prefer. After I finally decide to get moving we make our way to the lobby bar for some more coffee and then a couple of cordials (mayan cordials) we make our way to the pool area around noon, not a chair in the house we were told including the beach. So again we use the statue to hold our towels and cover ups for lunch. Into the pool we plunge, get a few drinks talk to B&D see what the plans are for the day. Anticipation building for the foam party. 1pm we decide to go eat lunch since the foam party begins at 2 and we didn’t want to miss it. OMG----the best day activity there was all week. So many bubbles that you get lost and can loose each other. So if you get goosed it may not be who you think it is. Just saying. Music is loud and the bubbles are never never ending. What more can you ask for? Was amazed at how they kept them from entering the pool bar. But they did get blown all the way up to the Jacuzzi. Things start to dye down from the foam party and we start our daily game of volley ball. After volley ball we are just floating around in the pool until J&D and B&D make their way over. By the way guys you could have waited just a few more minutes….and NO I’m not kidding. Oh well we will hit the beach later I guess. So we all are just hanging around having fun and go up to the bar at 4:35 pm again to only be turned away. WTF… Find Marivila (whom is a delight) she goes and gets us some drinks. At this point I’m ready to go to the beach so we all head down to the beach. Ooopppsss lost J&D whom decided to go eat instead. B&D come down but B won’t get in the water due to day before they were snorkeling and said they couldn’t believe how much glass they saw under the water although it was closer over to the pier area, which we were not near. So my better half, D, and I are swimming around in the ocean and these 4 guys by themselves come walking down the beach. D doesn’t want to get out till they pass as she is topless and they are indeed gawking. I’m butt naked don’t care and neither did my other half. So when they look our way my husband decides to lift me out the water and we all yell. The guys couldn’t stop laughing and the one didn’t want to look back but did. So then my husband grabs us both and starts bobbing us out the water while us ladies are groaning. Those guys got the show of their life. They stopped right at the Pearl beach border area while some of the 4 got into the water. D took that as her get out while they weren’t looking which she did. Well we finished what we started earlier, then proceeded to get out ooops on. As we were at the beds drying off they started to make their way back and I made sure to give them a nice naked towel dry off show. Damn what was in those mayan cordials they gave me earlier. Well we decide to dry off a bit and go have an espresso in the front lobby bar along with do some check in phone calls with family and a little gift shopping in the store at the lobby.
Off to get ready for dinner. Decide to try the Caribbean buffet at Aphrodite, run into B&D who invited us to join them which we did. They had some amazing Shrimp wrapped with Bacon looked so good and they said it tasted really good. I tried the root soup (carrot & sweet potato) yummmmmyyyy. Hubby went out to the grill area to get me some. I’m sorry we are all out and aren‘t making anymore, what it‘s 8:20 pm. Pork couldn’t get a fork through it, chicken way too dry. Waited forever for drinks. So we all say let’s go to Pearl and try again. D says you guys finish up and I’ll check us into Pearl as I’m sure there is a wait on her way to room to retrieve some things for the theme night as we just dressed and brought our items with us so we didn’t have to return to room to change again. We arrive about 10 minutes later to Pearl to check in and they say they don’t have us on the wait list 30 minute wait. Try to explain to hostess that D in RM ____ put us down for 4 already as I’m sure she was already by the hostess desk to check in. She couldn’t understand English well enough to make out what I was saying. Dining room manager comes out to resolve it and does seated in about 10 minutes. D walks in and confirms she did in fact check us in on the wait list prior to going to her room and was told 20 minutes which is when she returned. So service again is slow, full house in and outside. They did remember to bring bread without asking for it this time. I decide to try the risotto and the seafood soup. Soup great as always although could have been a tad hotter. Risotto nothing to write home about. We all get some desert and then head to the lobby to get ready for the show to begin in the disco. Theme night changed unexpectedly to Tropical/Animal Print rather than Casino Royal. No big deal lucky I packed something. Show again reminded us of a Las Vegas dance show no guests involvement. Activity crew could have done better on the costumes to get guests involvement more. But needless to say there were some whom dressed for the theme. B&D watched some of the show not much with us as they were calling it an early even due to flying out at the wee hours of the morning. Really great to find people we clicked with and turns out they only live 1 ½ hours away from us. Until we meet again but I must say you missed one hell of a night.
Cabo disco floor now open. We all get dancing, drinking, dancing, drinking. Make our way to the lobby bar to cool off as the disco just gets way to hot. Needs more air conditioning. We are all out there laughing, posing for pics, and just having a great time. Got some great mayan coffee, don’t ask me what’s in it but damn does it make the woman go crazy and yes I did. I say Honey, how about we head to the Jacuzzi for our last night all though we can’t stay long we got to leave tomorrow and I don’t want to be all groggy. Ok so what turned out to be a short visit to the Jacuzzi turned into arriving at our room 4 hours later. We get to chatting in the Jacuzzi a couple more drinks, I persuade or should I say lure him to the bed. He grabs a couple of towels to lay down for me. I begin to use a little lick and suck.
Then we proceed to give a show. Am I doing this? I can’t believe I’m really doing this. That’s what I keep repeating to him, meanwhile laughing and giggling the entire time when he replies yep your doing this. At the end we get all these cheers and applause and then we shower off and make our way into the Jacuzzi again to have some fun and laughs with everyone. Arrive at the room at like 4:30 am. OMG what did I just do. Still asking did I really just do that.Sunday (last day L) Woke up to a very very hoarse throat due to laughing so hard all week. Make our way to breakfast, good thing we packed almost everything before dinner night before. Saying goodbyes to everyone along the way along with being told how proud they were of us for the Jacuzzi show the night before and we did a great job. Tipping and thanking everyone along the way. After breakfast we just decide to be lazy no water today for us and stroll around the property. Went to the lobby bar, had the best bloody mary all week there with horseradish. Lazed around the lobby decide to check out the spa since we hadn’t seen it before. Beautiful. What they have mosquito repellent bracelets and clip ons for sale in the spa. I personally think that should be out front in the lobby or gift shop as so many people got eaten up and I don’t mean the way you might be thinking. Good thing mosquitoes don’t like me for some reason. Almost time for USA transfers to pick us up. Let’s go say our last good byes and check out. Ran into some Cabo friends and yes I told her well you can’t say I’m a Jacuzzi bed virgin anymore. Her response well my you guys have come a long way in a short amount of time. Keep in mind our first trip to this type of resort was exactly a year ago in Cabo and this was our 3rd visit to Desire Resorts.
YES YES YES we will return again soon. Hoping to go in October but it won’t be Halloween due to family obligations with younger children and school schedules.
Again all in all the BEST MOST AMAZING VACATION we have ever had. Damn writing this makes me feel as if I’m reliving the week again. Someone find me a Jacuzzi bed “QUICK”. Not Quickie. Hope you enjoyed and any questions feel free to PM us.
