Recently returned from another great trip to Pearl. We won't write too much here, just a few observations and comments. Happy to answer questions if you have them.

Let's start with food! We both thought the food was improved over last year. Not only that, the entire team did much better with the food allergies one of us has. While in past years the hostess and server would always ask about allergies there always seemed to be a disconnect with what we told them and what the kitchen staff heard. This year was terrific and we thank the kitchen team sincerely.

Isn't Victor great? Sincere, friendly and always on top of things. Our beach bed was ready before we got to the beach every day.

Did we spend time at the jacuzzi? Of course! Always fun. Tried to create an ice cream sundae on the bar as has been done over the years. Either this is not allowed anymore or this bartender was not interested. The additional beds were great to see and they got plenty of action.

The sin room in the disco appeared to be used every night. One night we were in with 3 other couples all in our own area. That's pretty much capacity unless you are sharing  Yes, it is too loud from the music. Yes it is too hot. Does that stop the fun? NO!

So surprised to write that Lauren and Richard were the disappointment of the trip. After looking forward to the Art of Touch class all year, they switched the class to a Ladies only class. This was announced the day of the class and while some people were excited, we were not. Feedback from the class was very positive but it was not for us. We think it is great that R&L are expanding their offerings but we think they should ADD classes not take away the classes we all love and want to repeat.

Beach volleyball is now 2 times per day! Some games we had 14 people playing, other games it was 2 on 2. Really love that the schedule includes 2 games per day now.

Seaweed on the beach was horrible. We were told Pearl already ordered a barrier like RM installed and it will be installed in the next few months. We hope that is true as a seaweed free beach would be amazing.

All in all, a fantastic trip. We wish we could visit more than once a year but feel lucky to have Pearl in our lives!!!

Oh no! Ladies Only class replaced an Art of Touch class? That *is* disappointing. Can you elaborate on what went on in the Ladies Only class? Were the women paired up once in the class or did you have to come into it as a f/f couple?

Happy to hear that volleyball is now two times a day! What was the skill level of the participants, in general? I’m no Kerry
Walsh or Gabrielle Reece, but I also don’t like playing jungle ball. It’s nice if everyone is at least trying to pass, set, spike, even if we don’t always get there.

Wife did not go to the Ladies Only class but I think there is another thread that describes what happened. We know you could go on your own and definitely did not need a female partner. Apparently the husbands were let in at the end and it became another sort of fun!

The volleyball games were all over the place when we were there. Sometimes lots of people and really good games....other times the skill level made it harder to enjoy - but still better than being at work! Another player tried to set up a game with some of the more skilled players at a different time. When others saw us playing they joined in. Certainly the games were all over the place but even the less competitive games were part of Pearl Paradise!

Is "ice cream sundae on the bar" some kind of cool game, or really making sundaes?

Interested in fun games!

I'm pretty sure they were referring to getting a lady laying down on the bar and pouring "something" - probably chocolate syrup - on her and having the SO and/or others take turns licking off. It's called a sundae but I've never seen ice cream used at a bar for this.

There used to be an activity where they would take say, three volunteer couples and put the ladies on the activity bar and have the hubbies build sundaes on them - with ice cream, toppings, etc. - and then have them eat it off of her. I haven't seen that activity in several visits.
