Just home from our 5th trip to Pearl- always have a lovely time and I have many improvements to report!
First- the food has made big strides forward since our last trip in March. Breakfast lunch and dinner all better than March. Suki is beautiful - we ate there 2 nights in a row. The new space is gorgeous and the staff of course are great. Pearl is still very good- and even Aphrodite has improved. Nice to have the construction at the restaurant done with so the buffet is back to its original size. Only pouty part was the change to the standard lunch menu - no more shrimp cocktail- but they’ll make it if you ask. The Baja shrimp tacos are amazing. And - pizza oven is a nice add but ask for them crispy.
The beach is getting better- the barrier is slowly making a difference but the water still needs to clear. One benefit of the seaweed? No beach walkers staring as they walk by. As always the Playnakers are so much fun- great energy and smiles all the time Construction continues on the mansion but it’s no big deal. And they don’t work on Sunday. Negatives? Hmmm- wish more people would dance at the “pre-shows”. We love to dance and the music was great each night but few were dancing. Didn’t stop us though! Looking forward to 2020 theme nights- hoping for no more red carpet affair - bring back uniforms! The Young Sexy Wild was just kicking off and some younger folks were sifting into the group as we had to leave. I do understand that the Dirty Vibes takeover has some members annoyed - not getting pool seating of choice or being moved to RM - but it didn’t affect us. We had a great time as always - even with two sprained ankles from a spill in the disco (totally my fault) - the resort was so helpful! See y’all January 2020!
