Just a quick recap from our 8th visit to DP !

Upon arrival we used the VIP service. It is expensive but we will continue to use as it avoids the crowds. That said, it was probably the least crowded we've even seen. There is construction at the car pick up area so that adds a little adventure to finding your car service. Check in was seamless. Felt like the resort hadn't changed a bit. We did have a slow water leak coming from some unknown source in our bathroom that we reported that never got repaired. There was also a resort wide hot water line break that lasted about 18hrs. So the place is starting to show its age. Staff as always was fantastic. Victor and Antonio are still great by the pool. And yes, Charlie has retired. A lot more day beds are scattered around which is super nice. In some areas on the party side of the pool they are now three deep in chairs adding capacity. They also now clean and skim the pool all day so there is a lot less 'floaters' which is also nice. The beach, which was loaded with seaweed and a bit odoriferous also had a lot of new daybeds, but outside of the occasional beach walk we didn't go down there. During the week the crowd was calm, the weekends are always wild, especially in the hot tub after the disco. We had fun :) The 10th anniversary event was extremely nice. One odd thing, we noticed at Aphrodite they only had two menus during the week, Mexican and International, so make sure you make reservations at Pearl or Suki if you want some variety. Breakfast and lunch are always easy, gotta love the bacon ! Our Pearl extravagance ! All in all this remains our #1 relaxing vacation spot. Can't wait to return.

Wonderful 8 times visit. I remember the repair service used to be very promptly carried out. Too bad it is not living up to what is used to be in terms of service.
