Newbie Trip Report May 16 -20 2023

We went for our 1st trip to Pearl May 16-20. Short trip but Wow so much fun! We really didn’t know what to expect but everything went smoothly. We are not in the LS but sure had fun talking, making friends and playing around in the pool. Met probably 3 couples where the wives wanted us to play with their boobs. That was fun lol. We got asked two or three times if we were in the LS and politely said no. No problems at all. Everyone we met was so nice and had great conversations. The room was perfect. The best meals were breakfast and Suki. Also, the theme nights were a blast!

Question: Why is the party side of the pool heated? It’s hot enough outside already. Thought that was strange. The quiet end was cool water.

Now for the not so fun part. We flew American getting there which was great but flight back home was Frontier. NEVER again!! They delayed our flight from 1:15 to 3:40 and then again 4:40. When we landed in Dallas, we sat on tarmac for 30 mins before they let us out and then we had to walk down roll around stairs on the tarmac then ride a bus to the terminal. The luggage took 2 hours! That was ridiculous. Then the next day we both got sick and dr said it was covid. ☹ I’m guessing caught from airports or plane who knows. Last only a couple of days.
Other than airport incidents and getting sick, it was a great trip. Hope we can go again sometime.

as far as the pool heat goes, You can ask them to turn it down or up. Sometime they will if enough people say something. We've been there at different times of the year. April/Nov usually don't need much heat. When we were there in Jan, the heater was not working. the pool was cold and actually kept a lot of people out since it was cloudy.

Good to know thanks! Trying to talk the wife into going again next year. We are going to Jamaica next month which we love. Can't wait to return to Pearl again soon.

Sorry about your airline mishap. Just wanted to say we fly Frontier all the time (non-stop service from Cleveland to Cancun) We've had mostly all good experiences; a few delays but we've had that happen with other airlines, too.

Frontier can be such a gamble for sure!!! One thing is certain……zero f&%$’s are given by them. If they promise you a refund, get it right then and there at the airport in cash…..or else you will never see it. Have had some decent carry-on only trips with them (make damn certain your bag is small enough because the LOVE to tag you for it at the gate! I hear plenty of people that have never had a bad experience and love them for quick trips to Florida or whatever…..but I have also been in a group that they stranded in Tampa for TWO DAYS because they could not check people in fast enough and did not hold the plane!! TWO DAYS and ZERO compensation or consideration. At least you got TO Desire on time and had what sounds like a wonderful time,
