We are late 30s, good shape, and very easy to get along with. This was our first time to any resort like this although the male half has been to nude beaches prior. We currently live in St. Louis but lived in Las Vegas prior, so we are accustomed to tipping and staying in higher end casino resorts. Male half went completely nude while the female half stayed in full bathing suit (more on this later).
Our Stay:
Friday:
Arrived early (1pm) and the room was not ready. Explored the grounds, ate lunch, then hung out at the lobby bar. Room wasn't ready until almost 4pm due to the previous occupant having a late checkout. In return they offered us the same thing. Got changed and went to the pool. After a bit headed to the hot tub where it was very busy. Some action on the beds but other than that lots of great conversation. Went to the room around 7 and actually passed out due to no sleep the prior night (have an 18 month old), too many drinks, and the heat.
Saturday:
Woke up early and got breakfast and chilled on the beach until the pool bar opened at 10am. Other than grabbing lunch we stayed in the pool until hot tub time. Cut out early to make sure we could get food at Pearl restaurant. This was not necessary as we were the only ones there till we were done when another couple came in. Went to the room and changed then headed to the club. Watched the show then stayed and danced till we were almost the last ones there. Afterwards headed up to the room.
Sunday:
Started off with breakfast again, however, the wife ended up getting her back extremely sunburned so we spent pretty much the rest of the trip on the beach under an umbrella during the day. Ate lunch and dinner at Aphrodite (and the Pearl) and saw the show in the club but didn't hang around to dance as we decided to spend our time in the hot tub. Lots of people there till around 2am.
Monday:
Similar to Sunday but at night skipped the club and just hung out at the hot tub all night.
Tuesday:
This was our last night. Spent the day the same as the rest. Went to the club. Attempted to do the play room but immediately was interrupted by three people coming in and asking "before you have sex or something could we ask some questions?" Totally ruined the mood for us so we bailed and went to the hot tub. It was very quiet this night with only us and a few other couples. Turned in around 1am.
Wednesday:
Ate breakfast then headed out.
Our opinions:
Room:
The room was great (room 73). Very clean and ample size. Had a great view of the quiet side of the pool and a decent sight of the ocean. Very satisfied.
Service:
We tip (went through about $200 over our stay) so our experience may differ but we found the service to be outstanding. The staff remembered our names, what we liked to order from day to day, and were on the ball with both food and drinks. The only time we felt any unnecessary pressure was from the scuba diving person who approached us on the sidewalk to our room. However, he did not end up bothering us the rest of the time, but we did see him scouring the beach for potential customers.
Beach:
The beach itself was gorgeous but it was rocky in the water. I could make it out far enough before the rocks to dive in and swim past them but still I would recommend water shoes. There were a few non-Pearl people walking on the beach and we only felt uncomfortable twice. Once was when some early teens were walking with their parents on the beach and the second time was when four young men decided to stop and take some chairs and oogle everyone. They left on their own accord after about five minutes as security was a bit slow to get to them.
Food:
Personally, we found breakfast and lunch better than the dinners. There was plenty of selection during both meals and there were plenty of times they custom made us food. We would rate the dinner menus good but not on par to the higher end casino restaurants. We did not try the Sushi bar as it was only on select nights and ONLY served outside the Pearl restaurant. The lobby area is terribly muggy and hot. We could not imagine enjoying food that needs to stay cold in that type of atmosphere.
The Crowd:
Ages ranged from late 20s to 60s with the median around low to mid 40s. Although most were completely nude, there were those of both genders that had clothes on the whole time, which was never a problem. The older couples tended to be much more friendly, outgoing, fun, and wild. There was only one time when my wife felt like someone was pushing the line with her. Fortunately, his significant other escorted him from the hot tub before the situation escalated. Unfortunately, between this invasion of personal space and my wife feeling emotional about her body (being sunburned, having a child recently, and still nursing) this pretty much ruined any chance for her to let loose a little more and shed the clothes. Other than the one guy (who again was usually nice but had too much to drink that night) everyone was awesome.
Conclusion:
We had a great time and it was a fun, sensual experience that brought us closer together. We are planning on coming back eventually, but first we have a few places in Europe to visit. My wife said that the next time she would totally get naked but just didn't feel it this time.
