First but not last to Pearl - Aug. 4, 2013

My wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Pearl. First time to any clothing optional resort like this. My wife, and I have to admit as well, was a bit anxious but excited. The trip over was uneventful except meeting another couple on the bus ride over that made my wife a bit more nervous. They were multi return couple.
We stayed in one of the penthouse suites. Check-in was seamless except room wasn’t available immediately upon arrival, but that was ok since we were early arrivals. We walked to the beach restaurant for an early lunch. Food was average. Right off we saw people freely walking around nude. I thought at first this would scare my wife. My plan was to ease her into it. It actually had the opposite affect and eased her nervousness a bit.

While eating, the front desk came and found us and said the foam party was starting in about 30 minutes and did we want to get our swimsuits out of luggage. Walking back to the reception, our butler (get one with penthouse suites) grabbed us and said the room was ready and luggage already there. Penthouse suite is nice with a big hot tub on back, upgrade if you can. Great views on the resort, beach and pool areas. It also goes the other way we discovered later.

We changed into our swimsuit with my wife promptly telling me bottoms stay on, top may come off day 3. I was ok with just getting her to go. Foam party was starting as we arrived at pool. Her top came off right away because everyone else’s was and my bottoms proceeded as we went into the foam. Great time to start at the foam party and continued till dinner time. Great people – great time, Day 1 first 6 hours, good so far.

Dinner first night at the Pearl restaurant. Wife dressed to impress in black sexy dress. I had read reviews about guys not dresses nice, so I made sure I didn’t fall into that trap. I dressed to impress my wife as well. Dinner was average, not great but ok. We hung around for the disco next door drinking at bar till it opened. Women was definitely dressed the part. Everything from see through to sexy nightclub. Music was current and fun.

We discussed going to the Jacuzzi and said we might as well jump right in. Went back to room to change into swimsuits. To my surprise she had only a swimsuit cover and nothing else, wow. What happen to day 3 may take top off? We arrived at Jacuzzi and we fit right in, no cloths anywhere. Couples enjoying the beds and barstools!! I thought we would be very uncomfortable, but we felt again right opposite, very much at ease. Day 1 a great success and awesome time.

I would continue with all four days, but to be quite honest everyday was a repeat of the day before but got better. Comfort level increased by the hour. Great people, great conversations, and incredible sensual atmosphere. We went to each theme night, wife wore the dresses I brought for the trip that she said she would not wear and I packed anyway. We also tried the Jacuzzi beds out for ourselves day 2, “AWESOME”
The main exception to the basic daily routine was we had the sensual massage included in our package and did that day 2, but also booked Claudia day 4 due to all the reviews. I figured at the time of booking this would be my only shot to get my wife at a place like this. In result we have a side by side same trip comparison of the resort’s sensual massage and Claudia’s. Hint, My wife has not stopped talking about Claudia. PM me if you want more details.

Staff was great, everyone super nice and very helpful.

Summary, just go with it and enjoy. No pressure from anyone to do anything. Enjoy the whole experience of the morning beach, afternoon pool, evening dinner, disco entertainment, and end the night at the Jacuzzi (actually in your room from the exciting day you just had). First time, but definitely not last. It been a week since we left and we are still enjoying the experience we learn there and are planning on going back before end of year.

We were there about the same time, 8/3 to 8/6. I was going to write a trip report but this is a review that sums up our stay too. We booked a standard ocean front room and were upgraded twice to a master suite. Fantastic. Still don't know why but loved it. The staff was fantastic. It can be what you want it to be. You can stay to yourselves or you can meet great people from all over the globe. We did both and really enjoyed everything

We were here this same week. Our second trip to Pearl, two others to Cabo. I completely identify with your wife's reluctance. That was my experience as well. But i am finding my "alter ego" is succombing to my wilder side. This adult playground is great for me, and mostly great for our relationship!
