Hi All!

My husband and I just returned from our first Desire Experience. Oh, where to begin? This trip was the best vacation we had ever had together! We will be returning for sure this coming year.

Just to let you know, I was completely reticent about this trip. My husband proposed it to me in the beginning of the summer as a birthday present and in a moment of weakness I said yes. He promptly booked the trip and the subsequent months were agony for me. I was completely freaked out about the possibility of going to a resort and being completely naked. That, compounded with my self-consciousness AND the forum descriptions of sexual adventures didn't help me prepare at all. So my husband, the wonderful guy that he is, did all the prep work and got me all my outifts and shoes. I just packed it all, together with my "street" clothes the day before we left.

So, we got to Pearl and it was raining. We waited in the bar to check in and the first person we met said, "I can't wait to get naked and get in the hot tub." I FREAKED out internally. What the hell was I doing here? Anyway, we checked in, changed into shorts and a t-shirt and walked around. As we approached the hot tub area, we heard a buzzing sound like an overloaded transformer. We turned the corner and saw about 40 naked people drinking and talking as if they were the best of friends! Needless to say, we kept on walking. Two minutes later, my wonderful hubby said that we had options-we could go watch CNN, sit in the room and wait to go home, or go enjoy ourselves. So I sucked it up, as it was darker, and we striped down and snuck in the tub! My husband, though, fell into the tub as he was descending, and soon everyone knew that a NEWBIE had arrived!

It took me one day to get comfortable being naked and two days to be free to mingle. The tub time was awesome! It is essentially a naked cocktail hour in the afternoons with people drinking and chatting about everything under the sun. Then we went off to get ready for dinner and dancing and back to the hot tub till 3 AM.

After being at a clothing optional resort for our first time EVER, here are our opinions:

1. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and have been to many all inclusive family friendly resorts and Desire Pearl stands right up there with the best of them. GREAT service, GREAT food, relaxing atmosphere, clean beach, plenty of top brand alcohol flowing 24 hours a day. As we talked one day while laying on the beach, we remarked that until 3 PM, this resort was typical to others minus clothing. We felt that it was pretty much the same. Life started after 3 PM in the hot tub.

2. Rooms: Simple and sweet. They are clean and have everything one needs to have sex and sleep for a few hours a day. TV is there, but not needed (and it rained while we were there). Updated cable TV gives many digital channel options-but we didn't watch them. Refrigerator was stocked with water, soda and beer each day. Clean sheets towels daily.

3. Staff: Every single person that we met was friendly, courteous and service oriented. Everyone smiled and greeted you as you passed by. They made great EYE contact and knew how to be seen but not heard. Top notch service!

4. Food: The food was delicious. We were a bit concerned about it having read the forum, but were left a bit confused about the complaints. Not only was the wait staff professional and quick, the food was very good and elegantly presented. We hit all the restaurants for dinner and although the menu repeated itself every few days, we had no problems picking different menu items to try. Breakfast and lunch are typical HIGH END all inclusive buffets which provided plenty of variety daily.

5. Alcohol: Top shelf brands and lots of it. We wondered how much alcohol Pearl went through daily! No complaints on that end and by the third day we figured out how to pace ourselves so that we were sober come evening.

6.Beach: Pearl has a beautiful small beach with beds and loungers. Beds are reserved. Plenty of space on chairs. We always found two to use. Volleyball provides entertainment in the morning. Passer bys either hurry by afraid to look OR they try and gawk, at which point the security men come and escort them along quickly. So for those who are afraid of being on the beach-no worries, they have no time to look at your face and are not allowed to linger. Also, the beds are set up in several rows, so you can choose one "pew" farthest from the beach.

7. People: We heard that our week was quite tame compared to other weeks. That being said, we only slept about 4 hours per day. We had a blast because the people were so great. GREAT conversations, lots of laughs, and relaxation. People from all over came which kept conversation light and interesting. We felt that the stature of people who came brought an elegance to the resort--no college kids looking for spring break opportunity. This was wonderful.

8. SEX: The environment is sensual and stimulating and really after dinner anything goes around the hot tub. People, though, are not pushy and we didn't notice anything rowdy or non-consentual. The beds were used often for those who felt comfortable with PDS and that did nothing to dampen the atmosphere. It was impossible to not feel sexually aroused all the time and that was our delight! This experience opened up a whole to new level of exploration to us and rekindled a passion long deaden by real life. As for your fantasies-you would be surprised what can happen naturally if you are open. I am sure it will be even better the next time!

9. Entertainment: Overall the entertainment was OK. The disco was a small space and this might have had something to do with it. Music was dance music and repeated itself a few nights. The staff were GREAT themselves, just some of the activities could have been better. We didn't go there for entertainment so it didn't impact the trip. We found many ways to have hang out fun with people we met.

10. Claudia: We had read recommendations and some complaints on Claudia who does couples massages. The resort also offers differing kinds of massages. We chose to make an appointment with Claudia and it was fabulous. My husband levitated on the massage table. The time with Claudia is designed to relax and arouse with partners taking cue from her and participating in the messages. One person is massaged first an then the partner. I went first and had an extremely arousing message. My husband went after me and thought he knew what to expect by watching me go first. NOPE! He had one of the best experiences of his life and glowed for the rest of the day. It was an awesome investment. We highly recommend booking it for the beginning of the trip to clear your mind of life's details and to help relax.

11. Shapes and Sizes: There were lots of beautiful-augmented bodies. There were also very average ones like mine. I never felt judged or like that really mattered to anyone. That is what helped me relax in my own skin. People were interested in who you were and we spend lots of time getting to know each other. Being naked didn't really seem to matter. You just have to let it go.

12. Returning home: Depression! Today at 4 PM, my husband came in and said, "Hot tub time!" and he poured me a glass of wine.

So, would we go back? YES and absolutely. We will make it a priority to go and next year for the same amount of time (6 days). It was a perfect amount of time and the sex was divine.

This is a great review, thanks for all the info! Glad to hear you had such a great time. It's so nice if you can go there with a totally open mind and not judge anyone or anything even yourself. No one will be uncomfortable because of other guests, it's the opposite! We are also hooked on Desire! We are arriving this Friday the 15th and can't wait. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back next year (and haven't even been to Pearl yet)!

I was wondering if you can comment on the Pool temperature when you were there? Cool, cold?

Enjoyed reading your review. Thanks for posting . We are booked for next June and are in that very same boat that you described prior to going. Excited about the trip but a lot of nervous anxiety. Very same concerns that most people write about it seems but I have yet to read a review where someone came back and said they didn't have a good time because of those issues. Very reassuring. My husband and I just got back from Desire Pearl a couple of days ago.
It would seem we were there on the same week. We've been to both Desire RM
and Pearl several times and this vacation at a Desire resort was absolute best
so far! Fantastic group of people staying there that week, staff is awesome, food
and entertainment are excellent and it always amazes me how clean and
beautiful does the staff make the Pearl. I never meet so many open-minded
and fun people in one place as I do at Desire. The atmosphere here is pure magic..
I miss it already.

I was wondering if you can comment on the Pool temperature when you were there? Cool, cold?

The pool was very warm. I would say about 80 deg... hot tub was way too hot couple of nights but they quickly turned it down upon our request.

You have discovered the magic that is Desire and causes people to return time after time. I don't believe that there is another place on earth like Desire.

Great trip report and we're so glad you had a great time - sounds like more Desire Addicts! I think all of us have 'fallen' into the hot tub at Pearl on our first trip to that resort. It's just a 'given'.
