We arrived at cancun airport on Sunday and used the hotel transfer. After driving down the highway (25min) a sketchy road (5mins) we arrived at desire. Check in was simple and we agreed to have breakfast with the sales agent just to see what they had to offer (more on that later).
Once we finally settled in we made our way to aphrodides famished after our 13 hour trek from edmonton. We walked in and dinner service wasn't ready yet so we sat at the bar next to 2 other couples J&S and J&Z (2 of the most awesome couples ever). They immediately got to know us and we all sat down and had dinner together. After 1 of the most amazing meals I've had in a long time, the wife in I decided to go to the jacuzzi for some drinks and social time. We went and got changed in our room and I decided I would just embrace the whole nude thing and stripped down. I was extreamely nervous for about 30 seconds but the second we got to the hot tub I felt completely at ease and it was even liberating (there were maybe 5 couples at first, then by just after midnight we had the hot tub to ourselves). The wife stayed fully clothed the entire trip (when others were around at least
but nobody was judgemental and I didn't push the issue either cause everybody is allowed to go at their own comfort level. We got half licked and fooled around in the hot tub. The staff are so professional that he even gave us our privacy by going around to the back of the bar. Then went back to our room. Day 2
Woke up at 10, got dressed, had breakfast. Then we went into Puerto Morelos (15 minute walk up the beach). Messed about in town the came back. Met an awesome couple from Quebec C&M. We sat out and had lunch and drinks together then went to the hot tub for more drinks. The hot tub was crazy that afternoon with a big show with 6 to 8 people playing in the middle of the hot tub and other things going on. Anyways we kept having drinks the went and got dressed and went out to dinner. Hot tub, drinking til 3AM again, room, stuff
sleep.Day 3
Wake at 10am and met the salesperson for breakfast/brunch. She was very pleasant and kind. She wasn't to pushy and actually listened to the things you had to say as well (the whole thing lasted maybe 1.5 hours) but was alright was just another chance to meet a really cool person. We hung out at the beach. Drank in the hot tub. Had dinner and called it early (thats 1am for us we were still the last couple at the hot tub)as we had a day trip the next day.
Day 4
We woke early and caught a shuttle with another couple at desire G&S. we first went to Tulum. The ruins were great history and nice to visit. Then we went to xel'ha and I snorkelled the reef while guiding my wife down the river lounging on a tube. We both had fun. Quick stopover to playa dels Carmen and a bit of shopping. Got back to the hotel at 8ish got dressed up went to the pearl. (My wife was even brave enough she wore a blue corset and just her thong which was a big deal for me. Really hot and it was eyes wide shut so I had nice attire and we both wore maskerade masks). Drank and danced then hung out on the beach bed and soaked in the nice ocean brease. Went back to the room. Did stuff
. Slept.Day 5
Up at 10 (sorry Bill I know we were supposed to do your Zumba class). Breakfast. Did some pool activities. Drank. Got ready for our anniversary dinner on the pier. We did our 13th anniversary out on the pier. Food and service were amazing once again, then went to the disco for stripper night. We did the theme early but were ill prepared. Danced. Drank. Went to the hot tub. Got licked till bar closed down and had the hot tub to ourselves
. Went to bed 3-4 am. Day 6
We were feeling a little down that day as we knew we only had 2 days left and 3 of the couples we got to know we're leaving. We did the usual. Pool, drinking, hot tub, drinking, dinner, hot tub, drinking met some new awesome couples and called it a night. That was mostly a recovery day but still was awesome.
Day 7
Did the usual day activities. Went into Puerto Morelos to get an animal print dress for the wife for disco that night. Went to the disco. Went back to our room and had fun on the balcony. Went to bed 3am again
Woke up earlier as we were leaving at 12:30 from the hotel. We hung around. Ate breakfast. Went for a walk up the beach again. Had lunch and we were off.
In conclusion, this was one of the most amazing weeks of my life. Both of us had an amazing time and have some fond memories. We will definitely go back. Hell, I never wanted to leave. The mood all week was relaxed which was good to ease us in. as well having the entire hot tub to yourself after 1am was an added bonus for us. The staff, the food, the grounds were all amazing. The activities and disco were great. Now that we know what to expect we will be better prepared for our next visit. The whole dress up thing was really fun as you don't get to do it in regular society. There were people of all shapes and sizes and everyone was really respectful to others boundaries. We were never made to feel uncomfortable. We were hit on by some people but once they knew we weren't into that they never pushed an agenda. It was amazing to meet real people.
