2nd time trip report -April 26 - 29, 2014

We arrived at Desire Resort around 1pm after 11 nights at Temptation Resort. Our reception was pleasant & jovial. Understandably our room was not available so we dug through our carry-on luggage to dress for lunch and hang at the pool while our room was being prepared for 3pm. Just as we sorted out what we needed the reception rep came over and announced that our room was ready. We were registered to stay in room 50 and we were very pleased to find it just up one flight of stairs and with an ocean view. It was a smaller room than last year but it was just perfect for the 3 nights.

Day 1 we were so ready to relax and we asked Jared to find us a couple of beach chairs under a palapa so we could relax but we found the foam party staring up so we dove in a continued the party theme from previous days at Temptation. Kath was up on my shoulders a few times to get up above the foam and we laughed and played like kids for a couple of hours. At one point Kath took off her zipper front bikini thong and asked me to hold it for her. In no time I had lost it and with 2 feet of foam on top of the pool we knew it would be a few hours before it would be recovered. As we drifted through the foam towards the swim up bar a couple was floating by and low and behold the gentleman had a gold zipper front bikini thong sitting on his head. Kath quickly announced that it was her bikini but our new friends only spoke Spanish so with a few quick gestures it was soon understood that his new head gear was in fact Kath's bottom. We all had a laugh and after collecting her bottoms we went for one of Pablo special drinks. We never did get our butts into a beach chair under a palapa that day but it was because we were busy laughing and socializing so it was all good.

We enjoyed our dinner at the waterfront restaurant "Aphrodite" which included sumptuous Ribeye steaks and fresh vegetables and then we headed up to take in the entertainment. Arriving late we caught the end of the show and then stayed to dance a few songs before heading to the hot tub and Jorge's bar service. Sitting naked at the swim up bar we tried a dirty monkey and some tequila. Jorge went to the Pearl restaurant on a request for sipping Tequila and found some great Don Julio sipping tequila. We drifted over to be out under the stars but stayed immersed in the tub and many couples joined us in the tub after the dancing wrapped up so we moved to the pool to cool down and have some private time under the stars. A great first day.

Day two had us sleeping in and again planning for a quiet day poolside after a quick trip into Puerto Morelos to do a bit of tourism shopping and walking tour. Upon our return Victor got us two chairs at the swim up bar end and we enjoyed hours of soaking up sun, taking dips to cool off and socializing with our pool chair neighbours. Meals and service still the beachfront restaurant were excellent and again the swim up bar service was great. It was so nice to have the staff using our names when we chatted and we really felt welcomed there and every special request we had was met with enthusiasm to ensure they fulfilled the request adequately. Dinner was at the upper restaurant "Pearl" and we enjoyed fabulous table service and some fine wine. We lingered through dinner enjoying our time together and managed to miss the evenings entertainment although we could hear and feel the bass of the music through the wall. Then it was straight to the hot tub to soak up the heat and sexy ambience. Again bar service was exceptional and we chatted with Jorge a bit. We stayed in for an hour or so chatting with new friends and then headed to bed early enjoying the romantic glow and warmth of the Tequila.

Day 3 we got an early start after falling asleep with the patio screen door open and listening to the lapping waves on the beach. Victor was kind enough to arrange for us to have the same pool chairs as day 2 and he gladly brought us an umbrella so we would have shade when we needed it without having to move to new chairs. Daytime activities were fun to watch and we soaked up much sun & fun throughout the day. Meals & service were excellent again and during the day we laughed and chatted with both the bar and restaurant staff. Dinner was Aphrodite again and then we enjoyed the entertainment of 3 brave male guests who danced as Chippendale's. Many laughs occurred throughout the entertainment that night. We made our way to the hot tub and settled on one of the poolside beds and enjoyed ourselves under the stars surrounded by sexy couples in the hot tub and beds surrounding. A great way to spend time on our last night and we turned in early for a long last night.

Day 4 we arranged for a late checkout and staff were very accommodating. We enjoyed an hour of sun and bid goodbye to friends and staff. We will return again when we can and often as we can.
