Unfamiliar with those other two stores you mentioned, but I did call Bottle King and they discontinued it. They said they were sending back about half of the cans, because the whipped cream had curdled... so they just stopped carrying it, rather than having to deal with the hassle of shipping it back, etc.... and they said most local stores in the area (of this particular BK), have also stopped selling it. Bummer.....

Tuesday may 13 - transition day

Today is the day where our opinion of Pearl the transition from 'I can't believe I paid this much for this boring place with all these issues' to 'this is the right combination of ttr party and sensual elegance we were looking for'.

We woke up to a beautiful sunny day and went back to the buffet breakfast. We always liked the ttr bfast buffet but the pearl is another level of quality and freshness. Which is logical when you are cooking for 150 instead of 700. Plus you can order anything from your waiter. We would order our omelets and pick up fresh peaches, plums, melon and of course bacon from the buffet. Like ttr they always remembered our drink orders and never had us waiting. The restaurant looks out over the beautiful beach and ocean. The ambiance is a big win over ttr.

Our chairs were waiting for us pool side as usual as we strolled in at 10 something. The gentle beats from the sound system had started. Early in the day I would compare them to the chill station on Sirius/xm radio. Much better way to start your day than 30 seconds of Sweet Home Alabama transitioned to Welcome to the Jungle Ttr style. Again we love ttr but we dislike the day time music (except the live dj Saturday). Music would then transition to modern day pop with some club and hip hop (mainstream songs) mixed in when the activities got started. We both decided today was a naked day. Eventually you realize it is no big deal and second nature. We did it because we wanted to and not because we had to. That is an important point for people thinking about trying Pearl but unsure of the naked factor. You honestly don't have to. It really is a live and let live kind of place. Don't let the naked factor stop you from trying Pearl. Now if you don't like seeing public sex then that is a better reason not to go. I will explain that later as there really wasn't much up to this point of the trip and it was not in your face. It was primarily in the designated areas.

We started chatting with the folks around our chair and quickly realized some had just come in and others were from the yahoo group created with people going in May on the Desire Forum. The yahoo group requires that everyone answer some questions and submit a picture of themselves. This is an attempt to keep out the creepers of course. It worked great as it was easy for them or us to just walk up and say 'hey you are Jen and Kyle from the yahoo group'. Similar to how cancuncare works of course. On the pearl forum people are much more discreet so the yahoo group takes down those boundaries. Anyway the organizer of the group arrived along with others so we started to identify some partners in crime for turning the party up a notch.

Now may be a good time to point out another difference between ttr and pearl. We love that ttr party but sometimes it is hard to get a drink. It isn't a tip factor as I believe in tipping as they all deserve it so I always tip. And it isn't that one bartender is working harder than the other. They all at both resorts work very hard. It is the bartender or pool waitress and server to guest ratio. There just are so many people to help you at Pearl that you NEVER have to wait for anything. In the night club they are already pouring your drink as they see you coming. No vying for attention like at patty o's or even worse nice shoes. At the pool we were constantly asked if we needed anything. On the hot days they bring you water without even asking. Just an entirely different level of personal attention.

Another example of personal attention... there are three butlers that take care of the penthouses and I believe members also. Gjerry, Carlos and Ernesto rotating shifts. They stop by your lounge chairs and ask if you need anything. They ask how your bfast was, if you need anything in the room, etc. on Tuesday we asked Carlos if we could have champagne, a cheese plate and a fruit plate waiting in the room at 7pm for when we returned from a day of partying. His response...what type of fruit would you prefer? To me that is amazing that not only is he saying yes but he cares enough to be sure he gets the right type. Our next request was for him to schedule a massage for us. We were having too much fun getting to know our new chair neighbors poolside and didn't want to deal with going to the spa and showing our certificate (we received a free sensual massage as part of our upgrade) and figuring out a time. So he took care of everything for us including upgrading us to the erotic massage. A little more on that in a minute. But the point here is we began to see the value in what we paid for with Desire Pearl. The facilities and grounds were already a home run. The service we expected was now becoming a reality and even the resort was picking up a little, but just a little, Wednesday was really when the party started

We went to the erotic massage at 12:30. I am not sure of the regular price but it was $172 for us to upgrade from the sensual that came with our package. I heard regular price is 3something but I am not 100% on that. To be honest neither of us were too keen on the idea of someone else touching our most sensitive areas. It just sounded like it would be sleazy. But everyone we talked to on site and on the forum highly recommended it so we went for it. Both of us agreed it was worth every penny. We would of paid the $3something price too. Was not sleazy at all. Was very sensual. Jen put it best...'it is like they did all the foreplay for you'. Then they move the tables together and help you get started with 'finishing the deed' however which way you prefer. In advance you indicate which body parts are off limit and whether you want them to stay once you two are joined. Basically they do everything and anything you want with their hands with the exception of finishing I assume? We wanted to do that part together so not sure if they go that far if in fact that is your thing. PM me for more detail than that if you have specific questions. Afterwards there is a hot tub with champagne and fresh fruit to enjoy.

We wobbled back to the pool, joined our friends who proceeded to laugh at how 'relaxed' we looked. Enjoyed an afternoon of sun, drinks and good conversation. Did the usual hot tub visit at 4 something but it was the same scene as other days..maybe 10 people in the tub (that could probably fit 100) and 2-4 couples on the 5 or 6 beds around the hot tub in various phases of 'fun'. We are not much into exhibitionism or voyeurism so that stuff didn't really matter too much to us. It was discrete and off to the side so if you didn't look it was almost like it wasn't happening. And if you didn't want to see it at all then you could just skip the hot tub entirely.

Back to the room for our daily evening sex but this time with champagne, cheese and fruit lol yummy. We met our two couple friends at Aphrodite for dinner. Very nice. Not as nice as Pearl restaurant but still top notch food quality with maybe the only thing comparing being italian at ttr (we do seem to like italian at ttr more than most though). I have a picture of the view that I will upload later. Simply amazing.

The nightly show starts at 10:30 in the disco. We seemed to always arrive a little late but they all were entertaining. Then the dancing would start at about 11. It really feels like a REAL night club. The crowd started to turn over a little so some more people seemed to enjoy our EDM style club music. But sadly by midnight it was just us and our new friends from the pool / yahoo group dancing. Tried the jacuzzi and it was empty. So called it at about 1 with plans to seriously turn this party around on Wednesday. More about that in the Wednesday report

Jealous! We both tried to get pics of the moon (and of course the "other" sights) on two Seperate nights and failed miserably. Those are great pics! Jen makes the sea and the moon look great!

Wednesday May 14th - Penthouse Party Day

We decided to have a party in the Penthouse Wednesday evening at 5pm. Our objective was to liven the place up a little and get people mingling/partying a little more so we and especially our friends from the Desire May yahoo group started inviting everyone who crossed our paths on Wednesday. We are about the party first and try hard to not be 'clicky'

tangent-> which you do run into from time to time at TTR but we didn't experience at all at Pearl. Likely because Pearl is more intimate and you see the same people many times so it is easier to get to know everyone.
So we invited young and old, body type immaterial, lifestylers/curious/vanilla didn't matter. Purpose is to have fun, nothing more. For some reason I feel the need to specify that as I think some people think Penthouse Party at Desire must mean orgy, ha, but it doesn't at all. Just a party. Sure some people get extra friendly from time to time lol.

another tangent-> our first night at TTR back in 2010 we were invited to a jacuzzi room party. Innocent us thought it meant hang out and have cocktails in a jacuzzi, well we walked into an orgy lol. Read our 2010 trip report for more info on that one ha. So it happens everywhere and surprisingly I don't think Desire Pearl is anymore likely than TTR for those type of activities. I would estimate our week being 33% lifestylers (increasing as the week went on), 33% curious/experimenters and 33% nudists. Where I would maybe say TTR is 25% lifestyles, 25% curious/experimenters and 50% there for a spring break party. I found the topic came up in almost every conversation at Pearl though. More of a freeing place if that makes any sense and a better environment to just get to know people. Obviously the size of the resorts has something to do with this.

Ok more on the Penthouse party later. We did our usual breakfast buffet. Again top notch quality and service. They even remembered what we got from the buffet and went and got it for us. After the breakfast buffet back to our pool side chairs on the busy side of the pool. You could clearly tell more people had arrived and the resort had turned over. I was determined to play volleyball and recruited enough people for the game. Loved the entertainment staff (friendly, courteous, funny) but they maybe are not as pushy to get people involved as they typically are at TTR (not sure about the new crew at TTR, basing this more off past trips to TTR). I think this aligns with the more relaxed day time environment pool side. If the crowd wants to participate then it is there for them but if not then the entertainment crew backs off. So we got a good hour of volleyball in.

Another differentiator for Pearl over TTR is the pool side grill. I really dislike leaving the sunshine and sexy pool at TTR to go into the restaurant or buffet. We love a light lunch poolside. The grill at Pearl would rotate options each day. On Wednesday they had an amazing Sea Bass. Other days filet, chorizo, chicken, grouper, shrimp, pork chops, burgers, salmon, tuna were options. Usually 2 or 3 a day. So fresh and a perfect break from drinking.

After lunch we joined in the Kinky Darts competition. So they do have some similar TTR spring break style games. Not sure if TTR went this far but basically with your wife/significant other you shot darts from various positions. Positions include things like sticking your 'johnson' in your wives mouth and shooting. Or licking your wife while she shoots. It was funny and much easier to participate in as you have maybe 40 people watching instead of 100's. It is funny what goes through your mind when you are about to shoot a dart with your johnson in your wives mouth in front of all your new friends. For me it was... 'ok, will it be more embarrassing if I get 'excited' in front of everyone or more embarrassing if I DONT get excited in front of everyone' lol Oh how I miss those types of things being my biggest problems ha Anyway I hit a bullseye while in that position and we beat the 3 other couples and got 'I am a Desire Pearl Porn star' tshirts to go along with our 'I am a Temptation Porn star' tshirts that are hidden away from the kids and we will never wear again lol and a Desire Pearl shot glass which we can likely never use. Oh well. Good fun.

Next on the agenda was a sexy photoshoot. We always wanted to have a sexy photoshoot done but never felt comfortable doing it at home. Always worried about the wrong people having the photos. Heard from many about how professional the experience was at Pearl so we went for it. You can schedule a day/time upon arrival at the resort. There is no sitting fee. You negotiate with them after the shoot to purchase your pictures. Prices start at $15 a picture but they push packages which includes actual prints, books, slideshows, etc. We just wanted the soft copies. But the packages range from $400 to $1850, ouch. On Wednesday we just did the shoot then we met with them Thursday to review the pics and negotiate. Will share more on that process in the next days report. So the shoot started at 2 and went until about 4:30. It would of gone longer but we said we had to stop as we needed to get ready for our Penthouse Party at 5. We brought club wear, lingerie and bathing suits to the shoot. Did a bunch of pictures in the Disco, playroom, our Penthouse and on the beach. The photographer was great. Directing Jen and I to exact positions. It was hard work but a lot of fun and EXTREMELY sexy. 100% recommend it to everyone. I guess she took around 300 pics and ended up showing us 190 they liked on Thursday. They can be as vanilla or risqué as you want. We did a mix of both. I will share a couple of the vanilla ones later.

Penthouse party time! We brought with us 2 bottles of Grey Goose flavored vodka (orange and cherry) and 1 bottle of Sailor Jerrys Spiced Rum. The customs limit is 3 liters per traveler but we stuck to 3 because both of our bags were right at the 55 lb limit. We also brought 3 four packs of red bull and a bunch of MIO which we also like to mix with vodka. I arranged for our butler to have other mixers sent up to the room and 4 six packs of beer. We also had champagne bottles from our spa day and arrival. Also I had some cheese and fruit plates delivered to the room. I think I mentioned before room service is free for penthouse but basically with each order I would tip $10 to ensure they would come back quickly when I needed them next and this night we needed them a lot I would estimate (didn't really count) we had 40+ people on the balcony. So at 88 rooms in the resort and the resort at I believe they said 80% full we probably had 1/3 of the resort up there. Our friends from the Desire Yahoo group (intentionally leaving names out as I am never sure who does and doesn't want to be mentioned) also had 100 vodka jello shots as a surprise gift and others brought bottles to the party. I had a bluetooth speaker going outside with our favorite EDM songs and our friends had one going inside. Everyone dancing and socializing. Some showed up in sexy wear, others beach wear, others naked. It was a blast. I think I had to restock the beer maybe 4 or 5 times, just called room service and tipped. I mentioned earlier that I wasn't sure if the extra price for the penthouse was worth it but I would of paid ten times the price to be able to have a party like this again (and we did Friday night, catered and full bar, more on that in the Friday report). The party grew as we sent 5 or 6 topless ladies down to the jacuzzi with jello shots to invite more people up. Then about an hour or 2 in we pulled out the Alcohol Infused Whipped Cream. Of course that turned the party up a notch or two. For those who are not familiar with AIWC it is whipped cream with alcohol. Squirt it on a boob, a neck, a navel and later when the party is more intimate a nether region of a guy or girl. It is amazing what even the shy will do for whipped cream lol When someone yells hurry it is dripping! People come a running. Good times.

The less hard core partiers start to drift off to dinner between 8 and 9. While the hard core partiers hop in the penthouse hot tub and continue the shots. At 9 something we order 2 of everything from the room service menu hopeful that it will enable us to rally and make the show and disco at 10:30. Most people make it and the disco is like no other night. It didn't hurt that it was lingerie night. Lots of sexy dancing to great tunes. At this point the DJ knows what Jen and I have requested most of the week and is playing it. The disco this night was the hottest club we have been to. And by hot I mean sexy, not sweaty hot like TTR nice shoes . Lots of fun dance partners getting maybe a little more friendly / touchy feely than you would be allowed to on the TTR dance floor or any normal club. We never planned to check out the playroom. Not really our thing. But tonight we did. Pearl has a way of making you lose all your inhibitions. And from here I must digress. What an amazing day!

This was our first night there ...we had just arrived, went to the hot tub, and no more then ten minutes in we see this parade of hot women passing out Jell-O shots at the hot tub ...without a doubt a fabulous way to start a vacation!

As a couple that was invited to the Penthouse Party, all I can say is that it was amazing. J & K were such gracious hosts; they thought of every detail. We were followed up the stairs by the butler with the largest tray of Jello shots that I have ever seen. The view was incredible from the balcony and on the balcony with all of those hot couples in attendance. I never laughed so hard when we thought we lost the ladies that were sent down to the jacuzzi with the shots to recruit other couples. It was our 4th night there as well and the party allowed us to meet so many of the Yahoo Group members and others that we had only said hello to in passing. Thank you J & K for the invite and for sharing the AIWC...
