Newbie report May 12-15, 2014

We are a married couple in our mid 50's from the midwest. This was our first time at Pearl, as a matter of fact it was our first time at any C/O resort. We are not into the lifestyle, but we love a good party. We have had some naked hot tube partys at our home before, but have never been naked around others on this scale before.

After some drama on our connecting flight, we arrived at cancun airport. Customs was a breeze, so out the door to USA Transfers. They are the best, took us right to the resort with no issues. Use them, you won't go wrong.

We did the pre-check in on the resort website. So check in took about 5 minutes. The cold drinks and cold towels were nice. The time share pitch we turned down, but it was low pressure any way.

We booked a Junior swimout in Seahorse #34. This was perfect for us. It was in the center of the pool with the quiet side on the left and the active on the right. We used our patio lounge, so pool chairs were never an issue for use. One tip, the slider to the patio will lock when closed, make sure you take off the the flip lock on your room door or you will be locked out.

The beach is small but well kept. Wear water shoes in the water, it is every rocky. There were plenty of beach chairs and the beach service was 5 star.The beaches in Mexico are public so you get several people walking by. We did see one thing, there was this creepy guy walking by on the beach. He stop and sat on the steps of the west lookout and watched everyone on the beach while smoking. Freaked my wife out, but security was on him in minutes and he moved on.

The pool was fun and the drinks flowed. We brought our own insulated cups since drinks can get warm quickly. You can do the activites or just watch. Either way a good time.
Although we used our room lounge, there seemed to be plenty of pool chairs so seating was never an issue.

Nudity, it took about a half hour before we were comfortable with our suits off. we were surprised how quickly we did it. Like I said before, we are in our 50's, on the heavy side, but no one judged. Which brings us to the jacuzzi, which was close to our room. If there was one part of this resort we loved the most was the jacuzzi. After 3 PM it becomes a large naked cocktail party. We found it the best place to make friends and meet people. PDS were there but never in your face.

We met a couple who took us "under their wing" and showed us the ropes. We went to dinner and the disco together, Didn't get to the play room, not ready for that yet. But had a great time.

The food was very good. We ate at the Pearl every night. Had lunch at the grill every lunch. No complaints there.

The staff is the best we have ever seen. This place should run a school on how to run a resort.

In closing the biggest mistake we made was we didn't book long enough, a newbie mistake. Next time we will do 5 days. Sorry to be long winded, hope I covered the basics.
