What a great trip report from former Newbies! My husband and I are going to Pearl for our first CO vacation in September. I feel exactly as you described you did pre-trip. So much excitement and anxiety!! I am obsessing over nightclub attire myself. Pretty much set on dinner dresses though. One big difference is that I have a bit of a shoe addiction, but plan to limit myself to flip flops and 2 pair of strappy heels

Why limit yourself to just two pairs of shoes?? My wife brings at least 8 pairs for our four night stay-- she tells me a girl needs her options on shoe wear! And I completely support her

Mrs. S brought like 10 pairs of shoes our first time and wound up using only three of them over 8 days. Often she went to the disco barefoot with the "barefoot sandal" jewelry on her feet. We just came back from a shorter stay a few weeks ago and she only took 3 pair plus day sandals this time. So no wrong way to pack shoes. And, yes, she owns like 100+ pairs at home. So she's absolutely a shoe girl.

This is the best trip report I've read. I only wish you guys were going to be there this November! You seem like an amazing, fun couple.
