We spent weeks and weeks shopping for outfits for both of us to wear. Definitely brought more stuff than we could possibly wear, but not knowing what would happen, we figured we'd be as prepared as possible. Also in preparation we test drove some recreational Viagra with relatively positive results.
We arrived on Wednesday afternoon after an uneventful flight that saw far too many people taking their small children to Cancun for Thanksgiving. I guess it takes all kinds. After a relatively quick check in, we went over the introduction to the property and got the coupon book after making the promise that we'd actually attend the membership pitch on Friday. We made reservations to have dinner on the dock, sushi reservations for Friday night for 4 at 8:45 (planning on making some friends before hand) and then headed to our room, which was a Master Suite in the first building next to the main building by the Pearl. We shed our travel clothing and headed to the hot tub. It took about thirty seconds for us to forget that being naked wasn't how you were always supposed to be! THURSDAY: I was woken early by the sunrise over the water - so early in fact, breakfast wasn't even being served. We chatted with a couple I'd seen having fun in the hot tub when we were and discovered it was their last night. After the dancing began I saw them poke their heads into the Sin Room and then walk out with a disappointed look on their faces. I asked what was wrong and they were sad no one was using the play room, and I realized they just didn't want to be the ones to break the seal. Times we had sex on Friday - 2SATURDAY: On Friday, I'd ordered off the menu for breakfast and had enchiladas with green sauce with a fried egg on top and it was wonderful. On Saturday, I ordered the same thing, but the waiter misunderstood and came back and said "they don't make that in the morning but I'll put something together for you"... which was confusing. Then he came over with a plate of salad fixings... and I realized he thought I'd said "ensalata". I didn't have the heart to correct him, and it was edible! We had pool time and hot tub time, and went to the Temptations group meet and greet. Wonderful people all around, then dinner at Aphrodite with the group. Afterwards it was Hawaiian night, and I think we made it to disco for a bit and J decided she had it for the evening and had to go to bed early. She also demanded that I go back out and have fun times. Luckily I knew that the new friends I made were at the hot tub already, so I wouldn't be the guy who showed up and made it weird. I didn't get the sense that anyone was annoyed I was there, and if I had felt that, I would have left. Times we had sex on Saturday - 1 (I think)
SUNDAY: Our final full day at Desire, we knew we wanted to really do everything big on Sunday. But I woke up feeling like warmed over death and spent most of the morning working on recovering from that. J spent time at the pool, walking on the pier, and just enjoying the sunshine. I joined her after lunch, when we discovered that we should have been ordering off the menu for lunch too, because the fajitas were amazing. We joined some Packers and Pats fans to watch some of that game and I got to enjoy some of the very best chicken wings I have ever had. We laid down for a bit and tried to nap, but instead we just ended up back at the hot tub and had lovely conversations. Dinner with the Temptations group and two different outfits for our last night.
