We were there then also and our room overlooked the hot tub. Hard to believe with a resort as small as the Pearl that we never heard a thing about this then or all week.

i also call complete bull shit on the statement that security 'fondled her'. by his own account she was an out of control drunk naked women on medication resisting security as they attempted to remove her. I think we can all picture the far more likely reality to this story.

and again.....i still think it's even more likely the guy is bullshitting the entire story

Some people just shouldn't drink. Your wife should know better than to drink while on medication.

I have been escorted back to my room on numerous occasions ( not proud of this, but the hot tub gets me )

Not once have they touched me, despite me being a complete d-bag. ( I deserved to be punched in the face a few times and thrown into the streets )

They have taken amazing care of me, and only lent a hand when I was falling on my face. And always made sure my wife made it back safely as well and was kept informed of my location and condition.

While I am never impressed with being put to bed at the time of the incident's, I am very happy they do it when they do the morning after. Its for my safety and in the best intrest of the resort.

With my personal experience I have trouble picturing this scenario

I for one am grateful for all that our U.S. veterans do for the US. I also teach my students to respect those with PTSD and I hope your wife gets better. BUT......first of all you are not in the U.S. at DP and most people there could care less if you are a US veteran. So you should not expect special treatment. Second, if a person has this disorder and they knowingly put themselves in a position that could complicate their behavior in public, what makes you think you deserve to act any way you want and then be treated as a victim. Finally, I know my wife and I have only been once, but never were we treated like we were not respected. This is a class resort and you are, I would guess, 1 in a 1000 that did not like your trip to DP.

I come from a long line of veterans, and I do not appreciate when a veteran attempts to hide behind his/her service. As a veteran, I anticipate a higher level of conduct from my fellow veterans. And, besides, the U.S. veteran was in Mexico, not the U.S. And, bottom line, anyone acting up in the hot tub (or anywhere on site), should be quickly removed, forcibly if return cooperation is not provided, for the benefit of all non-drama vacationers. I'm sorry for the guy's experience, but "Come on, man."
