First day a success!

Arrived yesterday. We were at the resort 1 hour after we landed. We used USA transfers, booked thru this forum. Very personable driver. Check in was fast and easy. Our room is ground floor, walk right to the pool, very nice. Our bed was decorated with rose petals and towel art, very nice touch. Had lunch, then our room was ready. Ditched the bags and headed to the pool. Hubs was naked within 5 minutes, he said he might as well go all in right away, or he may not have the courage if he waited. We made reservations at Suki for 7:40. When we arrived there was only one other couple, and they left after about 15 minutes. We had our own private restaurant after they left. It was awesome!! The food was good. Loved the warm saki. The ocean is brown and smelly. Won't be getting in the water. But, we knew it was full of seaweed before we came, so no surprise there. Pool is nice, the new wall is a bit awkward. If you are at the quiet side, you have to get out of the pool to go to the swim up bar. There are steps to get out, but no steps on the other side of the wall, so you have to jump in, or walk to the end of the pool and use the steps there. Not a huge deal, but not as much fun as actually swimming up to the bar. Fun band last night. Danced for a little bit, then to bed, as we had been up since 3am. Had a delicious shot, coochi coochi (not sure how to spell). Looking forward to today. Clear and sunny right now. Sunrise was beautiful. Adios

Wall in the pool??? In a resort that doesn't promote walls. WOW!
As first timers last spring we used the quiet end of the pool to ease ourselves into the CO lifestyle. As the days progressed we would wander farther towards the party end of the pool until we eventually swam up to the pool bar. (Day two or three I beleive) We found this to be a big plus for newbies, something we found DP had over RM pool wise. Oh well ...walls go up and sometimes walls go down. We will just hafta wait and see  .
By the way we are planning our second trip to DP (Couples Paridise) sometime this coming spring. I will be the one at the wall holding the ladder

Per another thread, the wall is presumably so they can heat one end of the pool in the winter.

By the wall pics I have seen in other postings, it seems like it would be relatively easy to "scoot-over" the top of the water level wall. Yes, I also would be most willing to help some beautiful ladies conquer the wall if they need my help. :D

Might of mentioned this before but..... When the water level is where it should be, the wall is just under the water. Play water volleyball you will get good at going over!
