Trip Report 7/27-7/31, 2016 (WOW!)
Posted: Tue Aug 02, 2016 6:15 pmJust wanted to take a minute to tell you guys about our first, and hopefully not last experience at Desire. Bottom line, loved it. This was our first time to a Desire property but have experiences at Caliente and a few LS clubs. We got there early on a Wednesday and got our introduction tour from Salvador. Since we got there so early our room wasn't ready. That was no big deal because we jumped right into the pool. On that topic, apparently there was a quite side. We never ventured there except to walk to our room, but it did look nice. The bar side was awesome. Everyone was sociable and easy to talk to. Almost every woman was either naked or topless, most men where naked (btw, not as strange to have a naked conversation with another guy as you would think). Pool activities where fun, Marco was a blast. Do yourself a favor and participate, or wear a superman hat.
On to the room. We had 61 which for some reason had bolts in the ceiling? It for the most part was clean I found it strange that the shower drained toward the door. Maid service was very delayed on the first full day. We left the room at 9 and returned at 4, the room was still not made up. A quick call to the front desk fixed the problem and it never happened again.
The food was as expected. Somewhere at or slightly above cruise ship quality. Service was fast in both dinning rooms and we were in and out of them in about an hour.
The entertainment was also very good. It was something different every night and for the most part held our attention. That was a big feat considering the tantalizing dresses observed. The disco was also good, but we only stayed there for an hour or less each night. After that it was to the hot tub.
The Hot Tub, it is the place to be both before dinner and after the club. Who the hells knows what you will see, hear, do, or drink. It was a blast.
The only mild problem we had was on the last night we were feeling a bit under the weather. Cant say for sure but, S has mold allergy and is basically allergic to life. It is Mexico and mold strains, especially ones you are not accustomed to are to be expected. Bottom line, bring your medications. Ruined the last night of fun being sick. Hopefully management will make note that this room has an issue and resolve it quickly.
One last note, and probably my biggest tip... Make some internet friends before you get there. It was so much easier to make a quick connection with people when we have already had conversations with them. It was really just like catching up with old friends. This board, or yahoo, or KIK are all good ways to connect. We met some great people, and hopefully we will see them again!
Anyway hope this will be helpful to those of you who are venturing into uncharted territory, and hello to all of the fun people we met there, or will in the future!
