January 2017 - 1st time trip report

We just returned after 2 days of a scheduled 5 day trip to Desire Pearl. Lots of explanation here... Before you read this trip report you might consider reading a couple of my previous posts to get some back story - even though this has nothing to do with why our trip was cut short. SO...

We arrived (Wednesday Jan 18th) in Cancun after an uneventful flight at around 1pm. I had pre-registered which helped the process speed along a little bit. After collecting the balance we owed Desire for our 5 night 6 day adventure we were shuffled over to visit with Lucy who went over a few things about the resort including asking if we were in the lifestyle - answer... no. I (husband) booked us in a penthouse suite. After Lucy scheduled the "sales pitch" for Friday the 20th at 9am we were escorted to our room by our butler Rudy - great guy. Total check-in time = 45 min. Let me also add that both of us were nervous from the time we landed in Cancun until we hit the room. The room was spectacular. Penthouse 88 - furthest from all the noisy areas of the pool and jacuzzi and has the best view of the beach. My nerves subsided a bit and my wife remained on edge not knowing what to expect, even though we had communicated a great deal before arriving. About this time, after settling in we headed to Pearl restaurant to eat some lunch around 2pm. In order to get there the only way to go is to walk past both the quiet an noisy (aka...wild) side of the pool area. Naked folks everywhere. Never seen this before live. Little shock to the system - more for the wife but me included. Went into the restaurant and had lunch - not bad. We ordered off the menu and avoided the buffet - in the hopes of not getting sick day 1. After lunch as we were walking out past the noisy area - one of the entertainment staff members (female) came up to me and gave me a big hug and welcomed me to Desire and did the same for my wife. Very nice but my wife was still a little tense and surprised - no big deal though. We went back up to our room - changed and put on our bathing suits. Wife bought a few bikinis for the trip and put one on (she is very good looking 5"6" 120lbs and works out quite a bit - think Kate Beckinsale - not kidding). She looked awesome! When you book a Penthouse Suite you are allocated a bed on the beach. No one else can use it and it is great!. We headed down and set up shop in beach bed 88! Within a few minutes of laying down, a waiter came over to take our drink orders. Wife wasn't ready to get alcohol in her system yet so we had our yeti tumblers filled up with ice water and good to go. It was heaven. Under the palm trees, cool ocean breeze and paradise in general. All good.

Over the 3.5 hours we laid in our beach bed LOTS of naked guests passed by. No one approached us - not being rude though, just enjoying time along together like we were doing. We also saw numerous passers by that were not resort guests - checking out the scene, walking slowly and watching what was going on. Wife did NOT like this aspect of the resort. They stayed down by the beach and water approximately 15 yards from where we were laying out. Our clothes were on the whole time, no big deal for us. The naked Desire guests seemed oblivious to all of these folks, so I guess no big deal for them as well. Up to this point we witnessed no PDA at all, just lots of chilling' by the beach/pool. Also, on the noisy end of the pool lots of games were being played and the music was quite loud - but not too annoying. By now it was time to begin thinking about dinner... we headed back to the room to shower and get ready for dinner. Couple of other notes here, at around 4 or 4:30 most everyone shuts it down at the noisy end of the pool and for that matter at the beach and heads to the Jacuzzi area. The quiet end of the pool and us were all that remained between about 4:15 and 6pm. On our way back the room as we walked up our 4 flights of stairs another couple was walking down - both totally nude. BAM... wife was shocked - I laughed after they passed sending us a friendly "well hello guys!". Back in the room showered and dressed we headed off to dinner at Aphrodite - no reservations necessary especially at 6:45. In the Lobby Bar we grabbed a pre-dinner drink and talked to Jorge the bartender who told us "tequila makes you want to get naked". Wife ordered vodka tonic - I chuckled and remained in my go with the flow persona.

Dinner was nice - at 7pm the restaurant was 25% full and older crowd. Theme night that night was tape art - no go for us so we headed back to the room. Sat outside on our penthouse deck for an hour and turned in around 10:30 tired from our trip. Day 1 in the bag at Desire Pearl. No harm no foul for the reluctant wife who originally said hell no to my suggestion of coming to Pearl... More to come as I sit down again later today to write about day 2... our most interesting day at Pearl.

Sorry for the delay... you will understand why by the end of the report.

So, Day 2 at Pearl for us first-timers. We woke up after a great nights sleep around 8:45. We had scheduled room service the night before with Rudy, our butler for 9am. It showed up on time. Breakfast was ok - not great, but our only so, so meal of the day at Pearl. After breakfast we made our way to the gym and worked out from 10-11ish. Gym is small but nice and had what we needed to get a good workout. There were three other folks working out. Everyone was fully clothed and in workout gear. Back to our room for a shower and then bathing suits and to beach bed 88 once again. Another perfect weather day. The pool area was quiet from the time we woke up to 12ish, then folks started to show up and the daily routine began. I had imagined seeing lots of nudity in my mind as I pictured hanging out at the beach and the resort in general. I also thought about what it might be like to be naked myself and letting it all out there - literally. Picturing it and doing it are two different things - so apprehension set in and my clothes stayed on. We headed to lunch after a couple of hours in our beach bed around 1:30pm. Another good lunch and back to the beach bed as we passed lots of naked folks at the noisy end of the pool. Then when returned to our regular spot on the beach around 2:15, a staff member approached our bed and asked my wife if she would like a massage? She was confused but then he then pointed out the massage table and area right on the beach closest to our beach bed. She politely declined. I turned to her and said... "babe, we are here, enjoying this beautiful place, it is a beautiful day... why don't you go get a massage - you love massages!" She thought about it, got up and walked over to him and they talked. She filled out some paperwork and jumped up on the table in her bikini face down. First time during the entire trip so far (24 hours in) that I saw her begin to relax. This was not the "sensual or erotic" massage you hear about but he gave her a "regular" massage that in her words was heavenly. She laid back down with me on the beach bed and really appeared to have enjoyed the massage and being at Pearl. At that point I got up and walked over behind the row of beach beds towards the noisy end of the pool and walked right to the bar and ordered a frozen margarita for my wife - to her surprise. I walked back to the bed from behind her while on my way removing my bathing suit. Thanks to those of you who said it is like ripping off a band-aid - nervously, I just did it. Then, naked as a jaybird I walked right up to my wife and handed her the drink. She was speechless. Not saying a word myself, I then plopped right down next to her on my back and closed my eyes and took a short nap.

When I awoke I could tell she was a little tense. SO I got up walked out to the ocean and jumped in. 5 minutes later (still in her bikini) she joined me, sort of... in the water yes, but not romantically or passionately. We headed back to the beach bed and remained there until about 5 or 5:30 and then I had an idea! I told her I wanted to go explore a little bit and lets go... I put on my shorts, she packed up with a look of uncertainty about her (we had discussed limits and boundaries well before arriving and we trust each other - so she seemed ok but nervous). I ran the beach bag up tour room while she waited and then returned as we strolled back towards the front of the resort. Hand in hand we walked in to the Spa and I walked up to the desk and asked "where is your steam room and sauna?" The attendant led us in to the ladies locker room and showed us where both are located. After he left, and being the only two people in the room, I stripped, grabbed a towel and suggested she do the same - which she did. After about 2 minutes into the steam room I asked her to remove her towel as I did mine. There we were, alone naked and in a room filled with steam. Needless to say we has a wonderful time in the steam room. We then jumped into the hot tub located in the center of the locker room. After 10 more minutes of chill time we made our way back to the room wearing a couple of smiles.

That night was uniform night. I had brought some outfits and showed her - she wasn't bought in just yet so we got dressed in our normal dinner clothes and made our way to the Pearl for dinner. On our way, we passed a first floor room with the window shades and sliding door open. Inside were a couple on the bed in the classic 69 formation - going to town on each other. Another first for us to see that first hand. We actually walked super slow by the room and watched for a sec before making our way to dinner. I thought it was hot and I could tell it got my wife perked up a bit. Dinner meal was wonderful! We walked back to our room to discuss options for the evening to include at may wife's suggestion: 1) go to the fashion show and watch 2) hang out on our deck and in our hot tub 3) walk on the beach or 4) check out the jacuzzi area now that everyone was gone from the afternoon jacuzzi session. We went out on our deck only to find ourselves agreeing to #4. More to come...

SO... we made our way to the Jacuzzi around 8:30pm when most people are at dinner. As expected no one was there except the two bartenders. My wife located a bed in the corner where no one could walk by and we grabbed a few towels and settled in. We were wearing our dinner clothes so I began to strip completely while my wife was laying propped up in the bed. Now naked I made my way over to the Jacuzzi and got in. I motioned to my wife to get in and she was hesitant (something she had mentioned to me before we left about body fluids in the jacuzzi being a non-starter), I said... "come on". She stood up, lifted off her dress revealing no underwear or bra. This was IT! She made it over the hump and found herself completely and utterly naked in front of two strangers as she stepped into the pool. We soaked up the Jacuzzi and waded over to the bar to grab two glasses of champagne. At this point please remember we are early 50's, married almost 30 years, empty nesters and a vanilla couple who are now naked in public at a nude resort! This is a home run for all the other vanillas out there wondering. After drying off, we climbed in our jacuzzi bed and soaked in the beautiful night, perfect temperature, stars overhead and holding hands in pure bliss. No sooner was this perfect moment interrupted than when a couple showed up and started stripping and grabbed a bed across from us. I thought this might be a big deal (killer) but it didn't seem to faze the wife. They took a quick dip followed by the guy going down on his significant other in full force right in front of us. My wife reached in her bag and pulled out her vibrator (I was unaware she had brought it down to the jacuzzi area, but right on!). I thought imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so I proceeded south and went down on my wife while she "buzzed" herself into an intense orgasm while watching the other couple. After a few minutes of recovery I laid her down across the bed and we made love with then and there - no problem. We cleaned up and got dressed, headed over to the fashion show, then the entertainment portion (dancers) of the evening and not long after turned in to our room. Not bad for our first full day at Pearl! So you are asking why then did we leave early the next morning right? This is actually the sad truth of the matter and how life can throw you a major curve ball at any given moment. We woke up to my wife's phone blowing up with texts... Her Father (88 years old) was rushed to the hospital and was dying. Her siblings said come home so you can say goodbye. We did.

I wrote this story, not to make anyone sad. In fact, my wife and I celebrate her fathers' long and full life and the fact that she made it home to indeed say goodbye. I was right there with her every step of the way. You see our marriage was made stronger in TWO ways at Pearl. First, we found ourselves rediscovering a deep and hidden passion for one another that we both thought had subsided in recent years. Yes we love each other and always have, but as you know sex is just not the same after 30 years of marriage with just one person and like an epic Christmas gift, we found it again! Second, in the early morning hours of finding out she was losing her Dad - we clung to one another - she leaned in and I supported her. The raw emotion of that moment and moments leading up to his death brought us closer once again in ways we had not known (never having lost a parent before). And in our eyes that is the love that we found at Pearl. One through a raw sexual moment(s) and yet another in a moments of despair and sadness - each in it's own unique way bringing us together in ways we have never been before.

Whatever it is anyone is looking for in Pearl you will find it if you are together.

And yes we will be back - in my wife's words, "I owe you 4 more days at the naked beach!", I replied... "we owe it to each other", she smiled in agreement...
