We went to Golden Parnassus in March 2017. It was a very lovely resort. The waters were that gorgeous clear turquoise waters you see in brochures. The resort itself is very nice. The people are OK, the staff ranged from rude to OK to excellent. Overall, it was a good vacation for the price we paid. It was more on the boring side, though, so that's why we probably won't be back. Also, while it was adults-only, it was pretty tame.

Thanks for the feedback. We've only been to Cancun once, this year to go to Desire Pearl, and are interested in going back to the area. I'm sure if we go straight to Pearl we'll never want to leave! So we're intrigued by the idea of spending the first part of the trip at some less enticing hotels and spending time exploring Tulum and Chichen Itza and the Cenotes and such.
You mentioned being an introvert in your Parnassus review; well, only an introvert could write such well-thought-out and well-expressed reviews, both Parnassus and Pearl! You might like the book "Quiet, the Power of Introverts in a World that Won't Shut Up"
