Great report. We must have been right near you guys. 3/6-3/13.... last 2 chairs before the ‘quiet pool’ all week. We like mornings on the beach then poolside after lunch. The construction noise was a minor distraction but it’s so good to see constant improvements being made and that requires construction. Our only disappointment was the absence of the great reggae band on the beach from last year. The outdoor grill at lunch time was our favorite meal. We can’t wait to go back next March. Thanks for the report.

What a great trip report T12 and it mirrors 99.9% of first timers trips. Our first Desire trip was Nov,2018 at the late DLC and we fell in love with the Desire experience. As we were entering the pool we had other guest stopping us and asking if we had just arrived because they had not seen us before. When we told them that we had just check in they pulled us over to meet others and to tell us the in and outs of the Desire experiences. For Desire first timers there is nothing to worry about as you will be accepted no matter what you wear at the pool. Just be polite, friendly , willing to meet others and a great trip will be had by you, a trip that you will remember for a long time and looking forward to your next Desire trip.

Glad you liked the report. Agree with all your comments. I’m guessing DLC was Desire Los Cabos. We go to Cabo twice a year, going again in a month. Never knew about the Desire/Temptation location. Would be close for us as we’re in CA. But, don’t know if Pearl can be topped. We just decided twice a year in Cabo, and twice a year in Cancun works just fine!

T12 you are right it was Desire Los Cabos but I need to correct the date. Our first Desire trip was late Nov. 2008 not Nov.2018. Desire Los Cabos has been gone for some time now and resort is now the Royal Decameron. We go once a year to the Royal Decameron to visit the staff that are still work there. While there we have meet several other people that went to DLC and return to see old friends that still work there. With the time change between Waikiki and Los Cabos it is a 12 hour overnight trip but we believe that it is worth it. Just wish that it was still a Desire as the Los Cabos weather is perfect for a Desire type of resort In fact we just booked a Los Cabos trip for the end of Oct,

Sorry we’ll miss you. We did a day trip, actually night trip to Maya and unfortunately didn’t get a good feeling. When we arrived, no bellman. There was one guy in the lobby and he wouldn’t look up from his computer. So we waited, then he took a phone call so we just wandered in and tried to find our way around. After having a drink and dinner we felt we were going to miss out on the fun at Pearl and decided to head back. We got to the lobby and no one was there. Went outside to get a taxi and no bellman. Went back inside and there was a guy at the desk...he said, “did you need something? We did get our taxi and got back in time for the fun. So it was disappointing that we didn’t see the same service at Maya as Pearl. Maybe sometime we’ll try a split like you’re doing. Have fun!
