We are heading down soon, and we talked about having a pro photoshoot. Has anyone done it? costs? worth it? Length of time? etc etc

We did it a number of trips/years ago. Know plenty of other couples who have as well. Almost to a person/couple, I think they'd say it was one of their best memories.

It certainly is for us, and we still enjoy the pics many years later. On cost, it's expensive but you can negotiate and don't feel like you need to buy any and all pics or products. We know couples who have bought and enjoy the coffee table book they'll happily sell you. We thought - goodness - what are we going to do with if you ever have family over, etc. So, we just went with digital copies of the photos we wanted and saved some $.

Length of time. It's going to take you a few, call it 3 - 4, hours. This is honestly why we've only done it once. It was truly great but on future trips, we have booked and then canceled a second run at it a few times, because we get into enjoying the pace of life around the pool, hot tub, etc.

Bottom line. If you have not done it yet, we'd 100% say do it. You might not repeat or three-peat but not because it wasn't fantastic. It will just be a matter of time at that point.

Here’s a question, why not ask a guest to do the photoshoot with you from your phone? Last trip to DRM, my wife and I met a couple and this topic came up, and since the women were comfortable with each other, the wife filmed us and my wife filmed them - husbands not allowed to attend so I have no idea what really happened when my wife filmed them, but it was a turn on for me and she enjoyed being artistic. We talk about it now occasionally and share some info, even to tantalize the mind but not enough to give away. I can say that when the other wife filmed us, it did get a little interactive with all parties, that was fun and sexy.
Just saying to talk, just consider this option.

1) Staff photographers have access to areas of the resort that guests with a cell phone do not have. 2) The photographer is a professional. 3) The quality is far superior to cell phone pics and video.

Cool idea if you want cell phone vids/photos taken by another guest. Not the same as a professional photo shoot with lighting and the experience of a professional photographer. Highly recommend doing the photo shoot. The wife will be euphoric about how beautiful and sexy she is made to feel. Amazing memories and agree it’s a one time deal!

We did the photo shoot primarily for the experience and ended up buying nearly all of the photos. There is no way that a cell phone job will come close to competing with the product unless you are a professional model experienced in lighting and posing. These folks really know what they are doing. We dropped $200 on hair and makeup, then another $1,200 on a photo package. We never considered spending that much on them, but we were blown away.

My wife did a shoot in March and it turned out amazing. I couldn't choose which photos to lose so we got them all! It was not cheap, but you will pay double in the states for less. We did not have time to have them to provide us with any physical copies, but when we got home there are plenty of online companies that will make books, videos, calendars, and my favorite a puzzle.

I’m sure the photographers really know how to make the lady look and feel beautiful, sexy and special. For a couple of hours they are glamorous models, and I am sure the ‘experience’ does wonders for their confidence and self image. Is that worth $1500-$2000?
Seems to be, because most posts I have seen give the experience 10 out of 10.
Would my wife do it….probably not. But if she was genuinely keen to do it I would part with the money in a heartbeat.
